Another reason why I go to Iowa State. And, you know, don't take naked pictures.


But seriously, around here it seems like the U of Iowa just keeps landing itself in the news for this kind of stuff. First it was the whole "#1 party school in the country thing." Then it was the whole "Vodka Sam" thing. Now this. Can't the U of Iowa ever catch a break?

As for the TA, she made a mistake. It'll probably take her a while to live it down--it's been subject of much ridicule around ISU, and at least referenced in almost every one of my classes so far, so I can't even imagine what it's like on U of Iowa's campus, but eventually we'll forget about it. The way this fall has been going, it's entirely likely that in the next couple weeks someone else will make an even bigger mistake and this will be forgotten about by everyone not directly involved.

I'm sure it is very frustrating for the President and administration to have to deal with stuff all the time.

We actually know the University spokesperson - the guy who has to talk to the press for all of these incidents. Now, that's a job that I am really glad I don't have!

Personally I dont think the concept of erotic photography is a problem. If you look you will find the nude photography has a long history with some very amazing artistic shots, much as nude painting does. What 2 consenting adult do for fun or art is fine by me so long as it does not hurt any party involved.

The PROBLEM is you should have more smarts than to take them with your phones camera, or place them in your PC where they can be viewed by anyone who has enough smarts to do an easy bit of hacking.

Buy a camera for just this, keep it in a secure place with your other private playthings.....geez common sense!

I seriously think people would be much more upset if it were a male.
Here in our state we had several stories in a row about teachers having inappropriate sexual relationships with students. Watching the inequality between genders was irritating to say the least. The one guy who got convicted was sentenced to 22 years in prison while the women usually only got 2 years probation with credit for time served. WTH?! (And don't give me the whole "It was probably the male students who started it" argument cause I know y'all be offended if someone stated it the other way around, that the girl was at fault for initiating a relationship with a male teacher.)
