Another myrtle beach question

We don't know how to make vacation plans unless we are going to DisneyWorld!! Here's the question -

What is the quickest route from Columbia, SC, to Myrtle Beach. DH hates traffic, but also wants the quickest route.

I haven't been this way in a while but I can get you close. When on I-26 in Columbia, turn east on I-20 (which is north of downtown) which goes straight to Conway and I think here you get on 501 to Myrtle Beach. There is a by-pass around Myrtle Beach or you keep going east onto Ocean Drive. Have fun in Myrtle Beach and don't eat too much seafood.
