I realize that this is probably not the right board for this post. BUT, I just had to share my excitement with everyone on the resort board which seems to have the most traffic.

Anyway, I just learned on the TRANSPORTATION board that Delta has just dropped fares to Florida. I thought, "Oh well, I've already bought and paid for our tickets ($206.50 each times 4) and lost out on the super low fare of $111 RT from Hartford to Orlando." Well, I just got off the phone with Delta and they are issuing credit vouchers for future travel for the difference of $95.50 per person ($382 total!) WOW! inkbounc

Also, so that this post is germane to this particular board, I'm saving 40% off rack at the Polynesian thanks to DIS, Mary Warring, and everyone here who taught me everything i need to know about "codes"! THANKS!

p.s. I am paying $10 per night less to stay at the Poly than a colleague of mine who is paying rack rates at PO with a package!!!

That's great news poly pal. I was there in May with a few discounts from Mary's site and saved a bundle.

Now I'm starting all over planning for next May. Wish I could have used that rate for the airlines. It is a little too soon for me to make ressies tho..........

Delta, along with some other carriers, have their summer sale going on. It looks like you have to book by July 8 (if you don't already have a ticket) and complete travel by October 31, 2001 to be eligible.

Wow, your post was perfect for me! We had purchased tickets at $178.50 in February from Hartford to MCO. Got $10 vouchers 2 months later. Saw your post yesterday, called, and got the $111 rate. Woo Hoo!!!! Vouchers are on their way for $57/person.

Thanks so much for taking the time to post. By the way, when are you going? We're going Aug. 20th-27 (at the Polynesian) then Aug. 27-30th (at the Animal Kingdom Lodge).
