Another fatal shooting...

I'm praying for all the people down there; the victims, their families, and the decent folks who are living in fear.

Tragic, but the police have ruled it out as having anything to do with the sniper attacks.

This happened in Wheaton, Maryland, kind of a rough part of town. It is ajacent to Silver Spring and falls within the city limits of Silver Spring, but is also known as Wheaton.

I'm glad it wasn't related. I heard the breaking news at 11:00 pm and then didn't hear another word. I was flipping through channels until 2:00 am and was just about to post again asking if anyone heard any more about it.

It's still a tragedy, though.

If we are going to be technical, it happened in Aspen Hill, area code 20906, which is not a rough part of town. Rockville borders Aspen Hill which borders Wheaton. Leisure World, which was the site of one of the first shootings, is about 1/2 mile from last night's shooting.

I know this because it happened right across the street from me, and I don't live in the 'hood.

Sorry, addicted, I didn't mean to indicate where you live is a rough part of town. The news said it happened in Wheaton, which when I lived in Silver Spring, was most definately not the best part of town. While I wouldn't classify it as the "hood", I do believe it has a higher crime rate in that area than other parts of Montgomery County.
