This happened this evening. They just said on the local news that he died on the way to Celebration Hospital about a half hour ago.

LAKE BUENA VISTA, Fla. -- A performer at Disney's Hollywood Studios injured during a show rehearsal Monday night has died.

A Disney official told WESH 2 News that the performer was in rehearsal for the "Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular" and suffered fatal injuries during a tumbling roll.

Paramedics rushed the unidentified performer to an area hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

A statement from Disney obtained by WESH 2 News read: "We have lost a valued cast member, and our thoughts and prayers are with his family, friends and co-workers as we mourn his passing."

The Orange County Sheriff's Office, Reedy Creek Fire Department and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration were called to the studio.

That is so sad & unreal--Thoughts & prayers to the family. Why so many accidents lately???

I am so sorry for his family.
I also imagine it brings back so many feelings for Austin's mom.

They will all be in my prayers.

That is awful, my thoughts go out to the family. So many sad stories this year in regards to losing CMs at Disney.....

It has certainly been a bad couple of months for the Disney family. So very sad.

So sad....my heart goes out to his family.

Wow. That is so sad, 2009 has been such a tragic year for WDW.

this is so sad.
praying for his family and that we dont lose anymore beloved cast members.:littleangel::littleangel::littleangel:

How sad...even though it has been 6 years since I worked at WDW, I still worry whenever I see that a CM dies. Sadly, I have known two CM's who have passed away since I left Florida - one being the friend of Pluto's who was involved in the parade accident backstage. :(

How sad, and what a horribly run of bad luck for Disney CM's.

My grandmother always used to say that bad news came in 3's, so if she was right, then this should be the last of it for Disney. Let's hope grandma was right!

This, except I've never worked there. But I have a close friend who is a CM. I pray it's never that person or someone they are close with.

Thoughts and prayers are with his family, friends, and co-workers.

Wow thats awful. Will be praying for the family.

We have experienced simliar tradegedies where I work lately. in past 7 days lost 3 executive level members of the team. 1 to lukemia and 2 to car accidents. I'm sure when you work in a place as large as Disney (and were I work) it happens alot more often than you realize. Just a humble reminder that you never know when you last day will be.

Sad indeed. It will make me appreciate the CMs even more. They risk a lot for the sake of our enjoyment.
