Another ? about carry-on sodas and beer

I plan to use a shuttle service that will allow a soda/beer stop on the way to the port. What I'm wondering is if we'll be given access to our rooms right away so we can store these carry-on items? or will DH and I have to lug them around on deck for a couple hours after embarkation? TIA

Technically your room is not supposed to be available to you until 1:30.....BUT.... On my last cruise we went up to our rooms and asked the room steward if we could just drop our bags in the room and she didn't have a problem with it at all. Maybe you can try that.

As a rule, the rooms are usually not ready till around 1:30pm, however, we have always gone there to drop off our carry on bags so as to not have to carry them around with us and have never had a problem is doing so ...... Andy
