This process of registering you and only one guest is very hard and unfortunate for families having more than 2 people, particularly if that is a family with children. Was just on the phone with Disney Annual Passholder services and the hoops we had to go through with creating multiple My Disney Exp accounts and then what we need to do once we ever get the link. Crazy!!!! I’m just hoping the link is generic and then you log into your account. If they make it specific to each passholder then I’ll be waiting for more than one email and who knows .... The CM said he didn’t know how it was going to be done as everything is very tight lipped about this. He said it was like the golden ticket in Willy Wonka.

Yes, it is official. It’s their official Twitter account. Here the link to the tweet and reply.

See above

Well that is great! Unfortunately the VIPassholder support CM I spoke to just within the hour said they were advising folks to set up multiple accounts, etc. He said they were helping people all day do this! So the number of useless My Disney Exp accounts that were just created.
I’d believe the VIPassholder CMs over the social media Twitter team. Twitter team once posted they were at POFQ for Movie Night and posted a photo of POR. More fluff than accuracy.

Earlier I posted the Twitter conversation with WDWToday where they told me I’d be able to register my 2 boys age 11 and 14 under my MDE account... to follow up I just called VIPassholder support. They told me that because my children are under 18 and Platinum passholders I would be able to register them and they did not recommend that I create a MDE account for my 14 year old. They also told me that I would be able to choose the lightsaber experience for them and the Cantina for me.

The cast-member also told me that they expect to find out the morning that the email is being sent out (as little notice as an hour before) and as of right now they hadn’t been told anything. I hope this helps give some clarity. I know that there has been a lot of conflicting information out there, but the information that I received from Disney on Twitter and from VIPassholder support has been consistent.

So what happens if there are two adults and a child in the family? Both adults have to jump in at the same time and hope we all get matching times?

That was my scenario. I can't register DH bc I need to register DD. If I register DH instead of DD then there is no one to register DD. So, yes, he had to have a separate My Disney Exp account and he will have to log in separately according to the CM I spoke to.

It's going to either let you sign up everyone on your immediate family list (not linked accounts) or just 1. It’s not going to limit it to minors only. It’s one or the other.

yeah, but if you call back and ask another you’ll get a different answer. That’s the entire problem. THEY.DO.NOT.KNOW. Which is beyond frustraing as they should know! But they don’t. Fact.
If you’ve already moved him ito another account iit’s done now and you can’t sign up but 1 guest via a linked account, plus all immediate members of your accont.
For those who haven’t moved their adult members they’ll get to sign up all members, no matter if they are minors or adults.
If it is all immediate members it was never necessary to move the adults to their own account.
The later is how all sign ups have worked thus far. You’ve never had to have separate accounts. I’m betting my AP that it’s how it will work this time too.

I’m really curious about this one. I’m going to also bet my AP that this doesn’t work out to be possible. I hope it is, but I have zero faith in that answer. As that would require 2 sepearate sign ups

Except that is not what other people are saying. I hope YOU are correct.
What? Other have said both things, that you can sign up all valid pass holders and they’ve said you can only sign up 1. There’s never been a consistent answer

Except even VIP Passholder line has given 2 different answers. They don’t know either. Not really. Which is all kinds of wrong but the way it is

Not to mention, what does the offical Twitter come back with if their answer is wrong and it turns out it’s cost someone a chance to sign up? Sorry we were wrong, you can’t go now because of our screw up?

Twitter team gets their info from the Passholder CMs... it’s their interpretation of the info. So all that’s known is they asked the 1 VIP CM who also answered a poster in this thread.

All I can confirm is my DLand SWGE Reservation was based on my Disney account and its corresponding email.

When Disney emailed to say I could add on people to my SWGE Reservation, the CM didn’t need my Confirmation #, he asked for my email address to confirm I had the “add-on” request and my reservation was confirmed off of my email... and I added on names to total 6 guests.

If these reservations are by account + email = 2 total APs, it doesn’t hurt to be prepared with any associated MDX account info when booking the SWGE Reservation.
