Except even VIP Passholder line has given 2 different answers. They don’t know either. Not really. Which is all kinds of wrong but the way it is

Not to mention, what does the offical Twitter come back with if their answer is wrong and it turns out it’s cost someone a chance to sign up? Sorry we were wrong, you can’t go now because of our screw up?
Yeah, not that they will do anything but it is nice to actually have something in writing.

This is starting to really drive me crazy. We are a family of 4 (2 adults DD10 and DD8). We all have Platinum APs and will be down there from 8/17-8/20. I have been following this thread religiously and looking at my phone every time it dings from the GroupMe (which has been super annoying but I believe(d) will be worth it in the end). I thought I had a pretty good chance at getting my family into a preview until now.

Are there any downsides to me getting my wife here own MDE at this point just in case?

ETA: I rarely get any AP emails so I am relying on a link that I can use. :guilty:

I've had an AP since April but never get AP related emails, which I understand is common. Though lately I have received general Disney emails from "Disney Destinations" which was probably triggered by a resort reservation I made. Will the SWGE invite for previews come from Disney Destination?

I feel the same way. I like to an have the opportunity to go, but I am afraid that I won’t get the email in time.

What? Other have said both things, that you can sign up all valid pass holders and they’ve said you can only sign up 1. There’s never been a consistent answer
Yes, that’s what I said. What you said was different from what others are saying. And that means there are many answers, 1/2 of which will turn out to be wrong. If I follow what you are saying, it does make sense that the tool isn’t going to be able to distinguish between adult and child (assuming not an under 10 years child ticket) so a family should be able to register regardless of child’s ages. That theory certainly fits with Disney’s half-a$&ed IT tools so I’m with your thinking.

According to a FB post, the DHS CMs had the land opened up to them today. I’m not sure how true it is, as I would think they would get to go with the actual CM previews. But if it is true, hopefully our email comes this week

When Disney emailed to say I could add on people to my SWGE Reservation, the CM didn’t need my Confirmation #, he asked for my email address to confirm I had the “add-on” request and my reservation was confirmed off of my email... and I added on names to total 6 guests.
? Can you elaborate? What do you mean they emailed you about your SWGE reservation?

The annual passes are all the same ticket. There’s no child (under 10) annual pass. So unless the system looks at who the ticket is assigned to and looks at their age, there is no distinguishing kids from adults.

Great! So that means it has to have been handed over to operations and we should be getting emails soon (hopefully). Stop sitting on it Disney!!
Only MFSR is open and only DHS CMs are eligible to ride - no cameras, no photos. DHS CMs are eligible to ride through Friday.

Nothing else is open as CMs are still in training prior to CM previews.

This continual rehashing of he said/she said/ the bus driver said is getting us absolutely no where. Past events/sign ups are also no guarantee or reasonable indicator of what will happen this time around. Personally I've never received a link to a passholder event prior to said event becoming full on the rare occasion that I even get an e-mail. I've had better luck with DVC events although they required spending copious amounts of time & multiple devices to even be able to book. Bottom line is no one knows what will happen with this preview event or how it will work until the link goes live & we all start trying to get in. Doesn't matter what anyone tells you here or direct from Disney or what anyone speculates based on previous events. Bottom line is NO ONE knows.

So I called the AP line and got connected to someone in tech support. The walked me through setting up a separate MDE for DW and made sure I was subscribed to notifications (of course I wasn't). I know I probably still won't get an email but could someone let me know the email address AP announcements typically come from in case I do? I know I read it on this thread a while back and would like to set it up to get notifications on my iPhone.

Is it disneydestinations@passholder.disneydestinations.com?

disneydestinations@passholder.disneydestinations.com is what I show as well.

My husband has had his own MDE and my son is linked in mine so glad to know we are covered either way. Hotel is booked and flights are super cheap. Stuck waiting on Disney!

Does Disney typically do a preview for AP holders if it’s just one ride? Wondering if they will do it for when Rise of the Resistance opens. Maybe no since it’s just one ride and galaxy edge will have already been open for months?
