Haha I still didn’t get the email myself. The gmail forwarding rule I setup from my mom alerted me 😞

I haven’t gotten any either. I’m not going to even mess with my settings until after this email goes out
Don't mess with the settings. I didn't get the one from this weekend and was tempted to go into the settings, but didn't because of the whole "it may take up to 30 days to put communications into effect" and got the one today.

I still do not feel 100% confident that I, myself, will get *the* email, but I do feel confident that someone in this thread will and we'll be able to sign up.

Same. Not worried. Besides, I have gotten the email before and it came in to my mailbox after someone else had gotten it and posted here. So I'd already signed up by the time I got it

I just got an email from Disney Destinations with a subject of "The all-new STAR WARS: Galaxy's Edge"

This email came from the Canadian marketing team (email has CASL in the reply-to) , so I have no problem receiving it. But, sheesh - when you're waiting for notifications relating to SWGE, it's a shock to receive an email with such a title from Disney.

FWIW - Assuming AP previews start on 8/17, this coming Thursday is the 30 day mark. Here's hoping that Disney cares enough about out of state APs to give us time to make arrangements. I know their main goal is a soft opening to test the new land, but wouldn't they benefit from making more $$ from people if they gave more of a heads up? I already have a 5-day planned in September, but would certainly spend more $$ if I can make it to a preview in August. They already have a maximum allotment, so it's not like they would overwhelm the land...

Probably wishful thinking. I would think .. if anything .. this week we may get details (like dates it would be available) or a date when we can sign up.

My guess is we will have 2-3 weeks from the time we get to sign up and the preview daters. Which probably limits this preview even more to people who already have trips planned those days or are within driving distance (like Florida, Georgia, Carolinas, etc.). I am sure, though, there will be plenty who are blessed with the income and flexibility to hop on flight as well, but definitely not as many if we had known 1 or 2 months prior.

All guesses at this point.
I have also been beaten up several times, by several people that they WON'T announce the dates ahead of time as this will cause mass hysteria. When we get a notification it will be here are the dates, sign up now.

Hope sure but I would not count on it by any means. Travel arrangements simply don't matter. They're not at all concerned for further out AP. They have all they need in close proximity.

All guesses at this point.

I'd be shocked if they announce sign-up dates before they start, at least not more than 24 hours in advance. A well credible leak could be possible but that's it.

We booked the third week in August quite a while back, not knowing about the preview. We have gold pass AP's so aren't eligible but being DVC members, are hoping for the possibility of a DVC member preview being announced. Good luck to all!

Which is a mass-sent email, as evidenced by others who did get the email. So their explanation that out of country AP holders can't get the emails is really bunk. Sure it sounds good, why not tell all out of country AP who inquire that, it's not like anyone can prove them incorrect. To them, it's better than saying they have no idea what's wrong or how to fix it.
Well, they sure can't use that excuse for in-country AP holders. They like to make up lots of other unlikely excuses though.
