How many times a year does Universal offer the free 3 months when you buy an annual pass?

I fell like they do it when they raise prices - usually just after that - didn't the last one end last September?

I seem to remember them offering it in Jan back in 2019, right after the holidays. Because my pass used to expire in early spring, I was beyond the 30 day renewal window, so couldn't take advantage of it at the time.

They usually do it the first half of the year. One family member renewed in May and got the extension. I renewed in June and did not but I had gotten it other years.

I think the last ap deal for new passes with the 15 months ended in March. They did raise prices after.

I thought I got a 15 month deal at guest relations in IoA a few weeks ago. We activated early June 2020 for 15 months. That would get us to early Sept. '21, but then before our trip this month, I noticed the expiration date moved to early Nov. '21. Was an EXTRA 3 months given on top of the 15 month special at some point last year? I can't remember.
Anyway, I went to renew our passes a few weeks ago and to upgrade to Premier because we wanted to go to VB. The expiration is Nov 2022 (or it was at the time of purchase, the team member showed me the expiration date on the monitor). I assumed it was another 15 month special but is it possible they upgraded us for the remainder of the seasonal to Nov and then tacked a year onto the end to get it to Nov 22?
Now I'm confused.

I think last year they added about 3 months to everyone's Annual Pass to cover the time that they were closed. If you have the Universal app and and look under wallet it should show you the expiration date for your passes.
