Annual Pass - Renew Question

Our AP (one DVC-Sorcerer's Pass and the other Incredi Pass) will be
up for renewal in November.

Our next trip is in October and then again in February.

Do we renew our APs on a last park day? Do they "renew" from that first date of renewal or when we actually activate them in January.

Your renewal begins on the day that your current pass expires in November.

If you renew in person while at WDW, the renewed pass will self activate on the passes anniversary date.

What would happen if we didn't renew at the park, for instance, if we didn't have the October trip planned and was only going to come in January. Would we have been out of luck? Thank you!

You can renew online as well and have a 30 day grace period beyond expiration date (unless Disney changed that when it ceased selling APs but for renewals). This would not change your renewal/expiration date of the pass.

Failing to renew timely will result in needing a new AP which, other than one FL resident pass, are not currently being sold.

Yes, we do and I have done it as well.

No one knows if Disney will even be offering APs or renewals then. My renewal is in October and I’ve been planning as if Disney is not going to renew them.

Chapek was very clear he wanted more spending from park guests.

It doesn’t matter when or how you do the renewal, whether at a ticket booth, GR, online (for Incredi-Pass) or calling MS (for Sorcerer), as long as you do it no more than 60 days before or 30 days after the expiration date. The start date of the new one will still be the expiration date of the current one. If you renew a Sorcerer pass by calling, then you have to visit a ticket booth or GR to activate it before entering a park for the first time. An Incredi-Pass self-activates because it’s not a DVC pass that requires proof of blue card membership.

Seems like it will be easiest doing in October. We will be there for 12 days so will have the time.

You can renew 60 days in advance or up to 30 days after expiration. And your new pass won’t interfere with your old one. However, when you renew they start charging your monthly payments right away.
