Annual pass perks?

Hi All!

We leave for WDW at re end of June and I've been thinking about upgrading my 8-day hopper to an annual pass while I'm there. We usually go to Disney every year, but there have been a couple years where we have actually gone twice in a calendar year. Those are the years in which I know the annual pass would have come in handy to save us some money. None the less, I feel if I bought the pass, it would motivate me to book at least one more return trip before the pass expires. You neve have to twist my arm to go to Disney!!!

My question is- Aside from unlimited admission to the parks, are there any other "perks" to having the annual pass? Exclusives/Special events? Also, do you get a reduced price on future annual passes going forward?

Any information or experiences you've had with them would be great to hear!!

There are some merchandise & food discounts which change from time to time.

There are often room discounts.

There are AP special events and pins.

You can buy the Tables in Wonderland discount dining card.

I believe you get a few dollars off water park and Disneyquest admission.

And yes, if you renew your pass, it is cheaper than buying a new one. But you have to keep your pass active -- so the date on the renewal starts when the old one ends with no break.

Discounts off of DQ, BB and TL
20% Alamo Car Rental
AP holders exclusive trading pins
discount for minature golf
and discounts on certain nights for MNSSHP and MVMCP
you do get a little reduced pricing ( I think it was $40)when its time for renewal

Pretty much every retail location gives 10% off (for regular AP, I think it is 20% for the Premium). Just ask every time you check out. I can't think of one place that didn't on our trip a few weeks ago. We even bought stuff at some of the Flower and Garden Kiosks.

Thanks everyone! You are so helpful! One of the workers in a Disney store near me told me you get $100 off an annual pass each yeah you renew. it seems like a lot of money to be discounted just for renewing so I was wondering if that is also true! I will check the link Dan posted. Thank you!!

The renewal discount is only about $40, not $100.

If I'm correct Disney Vacation Club members get about $100 off the cost of an annual pass.
