Animal Kingdom or MGM

We leave Friday to go to FL. I have family in a nearby town and stay with them 15 minutes away from Disney. We have a packed schedule but need to decide if we want to do Animal Kingdom or MGM. DH had never been to MGM, but I dont think there is too much there for the kids. I have DD 6 DS 2 DD 1... Any opinions? I need help deciding!

I vote for the Animal Kingdom.

There's so much there that's incredibly cool for kids!

I'm assuming you don't have hoppers? Otherwise you could do both...

for sure AK though. BUT prepare yourself with a game plan. Get a book from library or store or go to touringplans.com and get yourself prepared. Makes such a difference.

MGM has a lot for kids...but we did it in a half day and were kinda pissy there wasnt more.

Animal Kingdom rocked our socks off. We are doing two days there next time.

See my kids did not like AK when they were younger because there wasn't much for them to do there, and they love animals.

We love the Studios though, but we enjoy the shows and character interaction. I guess it just depends on what you like -- neither park has a lot of rides for younger children. DHS beats out AK as far as shows and character interaction, but AK does have Nemo, The Musical and Festival of the Lion King. We also like the parade better at the Studios.

I asked my DS5 (who was 4 the last time we went) and he says Hollywood Studios. He says that he likes them both but that there are more fun things at Hollywood Studios. I personally like them both, but I think that there are more things for young children at Hollywood Studios.

Our family (DH, me, DD6) did not like Animal Kingdom at all, we vote for DHS...it was one of our favorite parks!!!

I forgot MGM isnt called that anymore- Sorry!

We go there a lot! I asked my oldest and she said she didnt care (she also goes with my parents in the summer)... I am still torn-- It seems like it a spilt between AK and DHS still!!

My vote is for AK. There is more stuff for the kids and it will take you all day to really do everything.
