Have stayed at both, Club level at Poly, grand villa and dvc rooms as well as hotel rooms at both jambo And Kidani. Our first visit at AKL/jambo I truly disliked it. It felt dark and I was with a picky eater at the time, which impacted the visit. . We tried it again sans kiddos and Loved it. We always try for Savannah rooms, but even enjoy it without. The eateries at Jambo are Good! The pool is quite nice, the Animals … LOVE. we like the quieter feel and it’s Less Hectic and less kid heavy than Poly imho… I think that there are many day trippers that pop over to the Poly ( just to eat/bar/walk) on the monorail from MK and the other rail resorts. It’s more hectic, and with all the work being done at Poly now, just adds to it.
Regardless where u choose. The Night Safari at Kidani , take the later one imho, night vision goggles, a ride on their Savannah, a large open air truck, … u see the Animals, we greatly enjoyed the info learned And the whole experience.
Jambo can’t be beat for Overall details, restaurants/food/pool/art pieces/ gift shop/bar… it’s on Repeat for us now. The easy tiny bus between Kidani and jambo makes simple transport to do the Safari.also, we have not had bus issues at AKL… it’s only for that resort and one stop, so simple n easy.
Wherever u end up, have a great Visit!
