:sad2: Going to Animal Kingdom for first time in June. Doing breakfastasaurus. What are other "must see's" with 4 kids? Can whole park be seen in one day? Can't wait to do Everest. Help please!

AK can be done in a day. it's the first park to close, so get there as early as possible. I don't know when your PS is for breakfast. the animals are most active in the morning, so most people head to KS first. I wouldn't wait in line for Kali rapids, get a FP. dinosaur may or may not be an option depending on how your kid's nerves are. conservation station is a great place if your kids are into animals. festival of the lion king is a must-see show. and of course, EE. dinoland doesn't do much for my family, but we ride PW. ITTBAB is another must-see. AK is a very beautiful, detail-laden park. you'll be doing more watching and observing than riding.

We were a group of 5 and did animal kingdom during the Christmas season in one day with no problem. We have also been there in June and had no problem seeing all of AK in one day. We did breakfastasaurus and then hit the park starting in Dino world. The only waits we encountered were the Safari ride and the River raft ride can get backed up.

Safari (Mornings are best)
Festival of the Lion King (the BEST!)
Tough to be a Bug
Dinosaur
Kali River Rapids (you will get wet-Wet-WET!)
Jammin' in the Jungle Parade (Good one!)
Expedition Everest (Opens in April, or soft openings soon.)

don't skip the animal habitat trails...they are imo the best part next to ks.( and hopefully soon ee). the cms by the animals know a lot about them also. we also really enjoyed the street performers, was worth the moments it took to stop and listen. take your time to really enjoy the atmosphere and themeing rather than running from attraction to attraction. we spend more than a day but you could get the feel in a day if you don't run around like a commando.

We are going to WDW in early March and will be seeing AK for the very first time. I'd like to know what you could *SKIP* and not miss as much? I'm a little lost as to some of the AK acronym's so please bear with me. ;) Thanks for any extra tips that can be added to this thread.

If you are going to see the animals on the walking trails and Safari ride morning is definitly the best time 2 get pictures. We usually fast pass Safari 1st then do the walking trails to see the gorillas. :thumbsup2

All things at AK are great! Keep your eyes open for "Miss DeVine" she is incredible! She is an attraction all by herself. You can find her alone the main walk ways in Africa or Asia. It is a lady, whose make up is green and her costume is designed to blend in with the foliage. She has stilts on her arms and legs and she is absolutely awesome!! She never speaks but had a wildly serene demeanor. Must watch for her!

Doing it Again in 3 days!!!!

We usually get the earliest breakfast possible for Donalds, I am not a big fan of this breakfast, and afterwards head to the safari ride....then we back track to dino land then, its tough to be a bug, lion king.....usually lunch then over towards the rapids and watch the parade, our favorite parade at Disney, on the trail between Africa and Asia ...then we ride the rapids and head out.....we do the trails while we are in the area....conservation station should be done if time permits or you just want a peaceful break....relax and enjoy the scenery and all the hidden animals, also dont forget teh trails around the tree of life....also take time to marvel at the tree of life and see how many carved animals you can find....

We usually do the Breakfast there at around 10 AM gives us time to do the Safari before and Dinosaur too or the Primeval whirl. Although all bets are off this year with Everest. That will be our first ride when we hit the park. It is a must do and the reason for this trip so it must be first- then I guess Safari(love that!) Then maybe breakfast-I actually kind of like this one- not too heavy- lots of muffins bagels ect.. some basic scrambled. And very low key kind of service. It is a must do every trip for my kids.

Can you tell me why you aren't a fan of this breakfast? We've booked it for our first morning and if it's not so great, I might reschedule. My husband will be greatly disappointed if the food isn't good. We've been to Ohana's Bfast recently and he liked the food there - it was family style. Any info on the breakfast would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Just another opinion on Donald's Breafastosaurus.

We've been twice (once with a family group and once just as two adults) and we like it.

The place is "squirrely" inside with lots of "stuff" on the walls.
There are all kinds of breakfast items to choose from.
This one is a "go to the buffet" meal, unlike Ohana.
(I consider Ohana's the BEST character breakfast in WDW.)

The characters at Donald's (including the usually difficult to find ANYWHERE, Donald himself) make the rounds of the various rooms in the place, and pay attention to (especially) the kids.

We do lots of character meals and this one is just fine.

we are experts at doing AK by 1 pm home by 2 we do 8 am breakfast saurous then hubbie runs over and gets a fast passes for the safari, rushes back while i take the boys on dinoaur and the tricerotops or if we have time we do teh playforund while he runs over to get fast passes, we do dinosaur triceretops primevel whirl (we have even done them each 2 x) tehn head over to rapids which starts at10:00 we do the rapids then head over to bug then we then head to safari we are done! But we have done all the trails and shows already previousy...

here is anothe rtip if you can be the forst people at dinosaur you can be the special family and be the forst ones to ride it and open the ride they have a special name for it but not sure what it is.... never have been picked but have seen people being picked before...

Depending on the ages of your kids, the Bone Yard offers a nice break to the day. It's a play ground area and also has a section where the kids can "dig" to uncover a dinosaur skeleton.

Kilimanjaro Safari
Tough to be a Bug
entire Tree of Life
Everest
Dinosaur
Festival of the Lion King
Kali (ths is great for the June humidity)

Find time for Festival of the Lion King, absolutely the best show and worth standing in line for.

I'm a little confused about how long it will take our family to tour AK. We're not intereted in in Kali, Everest, It's Tough to be a Bug, or the Pocahontas show, but we're very interested in the other attractions and love animal watching.

After reading about the park, it sounded to me like we wouldn't be able to do it in a day if we spent significant time watching the animals. Can some of you who said it's a half-park day share how much time you spend watching animals, in Rafiki's, etc.?

Thanks!

we do the half day but we DONOT see the animals except the moneys by KAli and the safari animals if you want to see the animals it will be a much longer day....our kids 6 & 8 want to ride the rides and move on...
