*Fantasia* - the slingshot is for shooting down the presents that float by in the sky. You use the slingshot to pop the balloon holding the present and then it will fall. After you shoot down 8 of them, three balloons will float by carrying a golden slingshot. You can tell when a present is near because you'll hear a wind noise. You can look up by pressing up on the directional pad on the remote, and then once you find the present you move under it and shoot the slingshot by pressing A.

Thank you for the infos. I forgot about this post. I heard the wind blow. I thought it was just windy, but when I looked up, sure enough I saw 3 gold ballons.. shoot them down.. and I got my golden slingshot!! Weeeee!! :cheer2:

How do you get a golden pear tree? My DD's friend has one and every time I go to her city it's picked over. I'm sure it's from a cheat but I want one!

Good evening everyone... hope everyone is having a great week. When animals leave or I should say move out of town.. do they ever come back to visit or to move back? Just curious. This might be a stupid question but is there anyway to get them back? Thanks in advance. :)

bump! :thumbsup2

.... adding another question to my above post. If we reset the game and start all over again from the beginning... would we have the same animals- the animals that we saw from the start? Or are we getting different animals because the time and date would be different when we start again??

Thanks for any infos. Are there any secret in keeping all the animals stay in town?

Fantasia ~ I believe the animals are all random. It was that way on the Gamecube version anyway. As for them coming back, I think we had one come back, but I really don't remember.

I believe you would get different animals. They move out from time to time, and new ones arrive :) Sometimes that is a good thing. Some of the animals sort of get on my nerves :lmao: So, if certain ones that I don't care much for, say "I am thinking of moving" I tell them to go for it!

We've only been playing for a week, but I hope this grumpy octopus moves out soon!
Also, our Nook's is upgrading, so it is closed today. Will there be any other ways to get rid of fish and stuff? My house looks like a PetSmart!

I got this from gamefaq not sure how reliable it is but I know we were all talking about the money trees

(7) Money Trees

Finally. It's here. MONEY TREES!!! yay. whatever. To grow one of these, you
first need a golden shovel. This will take about two days. Buy a shovel. Got
it? Good. Now buy another shovel, like the next day or something. Got it?
Good. Now bury one shovel with the first shovel, and just leave it. The idea
is to wait at least 24 hours before you dig the second shovel up again. Before
exactly that and this won't work. After your 24 hours, dig it back up and it
will be a golden shovel. This would bring down the value of gold to nothing
in a matter of hours if the media found out, so don't tell. After you've
gotten the golden shovel, dig a hole. I know, you're tired of it. Suck it up.
Now the interesting part. See, if you bury a money bag in this hole, there's a
chance that it will grow into a tree that bears 3 bags containing the same
amount of bells that was in the buried bag. But there's a catch. It might not
grow AND the maximum you can get is three 30,000 bell bags, or 90,000 bells,
for our less mathematically gifted viewers. So burying over 90,000 bells is
pretty much pointless. Also, if you bury 1,000 bells, there's a 1% chance a
money tree will grow. A tree will grow regardless, but it might not have money
on it. If you bury 10,000 bells, on the other hand, there's a 10% chance a
money tree will grow. 50,000 buried bells equals a 50% chance of growth, and
so on. Every thousand bells adds one percent chance of growth to your overall
chance. Got it? Good. Keep in mind that the tree won't grow more than 90,000
bells, though. Also, it will not regrow bells like a normal fruit tree.

UPDATE

I realize that even though I explained the system as best as I could, money
trees are still pretty darn confusing. So here's a chart to help you better
understand:

Amount Buried Amount Tree Produces % Chance of Successful Growth

1k 3k 1%
5k 15k 5%
10k 30k 10%
20k 60k 20%
30k 90k 30%
40k 90k 40%
50k 90k 50%
60k 90k 60%
70k 90k 70%
80k 90k 80%
90k 90k 90%
100k 90k 100%
110k 90k 100%
120k 90k 100%

(7.1) Thoughts on Money Trees

It's Chancy. Your Choice. Although if you need a quick 10k to take the boys out
for a night on the town, burying 80k is a fairly reliable way to get it. Other
than that, I really wouldn't bother with it.
