Good morning all!!!

Another here who honeymooned at WDW (2000). We were going to go rent a cabin in the hills (perfect time for fall leaves changing) but I convinced him it was more afordable to do WDW since I only needed a one night stay deposit instead of 50% of the week of a cabin. He bought it and so that's where we went. He never did see that hotel bill and I am more than fine with that Now if I could only convince him to go back with me again! I really am hopeful for December

Morning Everyone!

Sadly, we didn't have our honeymoon/anniversary at WDW, and my DH doesn't even know what DVC means.

DH called me around 7 to tell me DS school has a 2 hr delay! I'm glad he called since I don't turn the tv on in the morning unless it's snowing. Must be chilly out there. I was up already, so like LK always says, more time to DIS!

Spb - I don't know where that quote came from either.

MP - too funny about David w/ the girls! He might not want to get rid of the crutches!

I agree with Lars, John, I think you need to take Jody back for your Anniversary.

Lorraine, could you have some ice out this morning? I know there were some delays here yesterday because of that. I just hope it goes away today so I don't have to try to drive up a sheet of ice again today

Wow...a chatty group.
Neil and I spent our honeymoon at WDW in 1990. A week at the Vistana Resort, then we spent a week at my parent's condo on Marco Island. We also did one of those one day Bahamas Cruises. Which might explain why it has taken 14 years to get Neil to think about DCL. We *think* we're going to do DCL in January 2005.....oh my...only a year away.....

We actually just decided on a summer vacation. We're going to rent a cabin on one of the lakes up here....not much travelling, but will be nice to be lakeside for a whole week!

Pack meeting day today.....a busy running around day. I'm still out of sorts from a problem Patrick had at school yesterday...it seems to be resolving itself.....but I'm ready to go back to bed for the day!!!!

Miss an entire day and it takes a while to catch up.

Jack and I spent our honeymoon at the Contemporary in October 1984. We were there with the kids for our 12th anniversary. I don't think we will be there for our 20th with college and it being right in the middle of marching band season. I do hope to get there once more with both kids though.

Sandi, how did you get used to doing things without your kids?? I am going to have a hard time doing things without Sarah.

We have gone to the ocean every summer for the past 17 years but we did not rent a place for this summer. Too many things up in the air. I am afraid we will really miss this. This is really going to be a year of change.

I can't remember the name of the hotel we stayed in for our honeymoon. I just looked back at the photo album, and we didn't have it in there.

Sandi, your house renovations sound fantastic! All of that and planning a wedding - you will need a vacation later this year!

I had 3 pages to read this morning. I don't know all the TV quotes, either. I did not honeymoon in WDW, nor have there been any anniversary trips there. Pete has been 3 times I think, and he has cruised on the Big Red Boat once, but he is not Disney thrilled.

I have no idea what I will do today, I have to get the trash to the end of the driveway, Sadie is sleeping on my bed, MAx is sleeping on the couch, why am I up?

Steph, I love your idea for a vacation! Going lakeside somewhere was always my favorite way to go and get away when we did summer vacations. I hope you all enjoy it

Carol, I hope that you can get your family there one last time. I hope also that your kids invite you along on trips. My dad (except for business or maybe to go visit his mom or something like that) usually travels when one of us invites him along. That way he doesn't have to get used to doing them alone

LOL LK, I am sure that will work!!! Really it is going on 4 years this Oct since Luis has gone... I figure it is almost time for him to agree to go again Some of it is cost in his eyes (he doesn't see that it is worth it to go, whereas it does me wonders when I do go, so Isee it as theraputic ) and some of it is just that he doesn't apparently see what I do of WDW. I hope some day that will change

Marsha, just go back to bed... I would if I could!!!! Especially with all the cold weather out, it is nicer to just sit back and relax

Carol, hope you get to take the family vacation this summer. I keep dreading the year when other things get in the way. That's one of the reasons I wanted to buy DVC. At least if they can't go I'll be having so much fun that I won't have time to feel sad.

Yes Sandi, some of the girls call the house and he STILL can't decide if they like him. He's sure they all want to be his friend.

I seem to be the odd one here. We did not honeymoon at WDW. DH and I decided that we needed a vacation that allowed us to sort of kick back and relax. Since we had never done WDW at that point, I knew there was way too much I'd want to see. So we opted for a cruise. So we'd been married about 4 years when we made our first trip. David was a toddler and in love with "Ickey Moose" at the time. I think it was the perfect time for us to go. We saw it all through his eyes and it was truely magical.

We got snow, but it's so dry that it all evaporated on it's way down. You can see little bits on some of the roofs. Oh well. At least the roads are clean and dry.
