I can't bowl or play bunco. I am however able to play the part of the comic relief and a drink or two sounds wonderful. Count me in.

Amy and David think fencing sounds fun. Hope Brendan likes it. Did he watch fencing in the Olympics? Bet Shannon will do fine, but I'll be thinking of her on Friday.

Alan, good luck with the audition and hope you don't have to shave. Tell Mrs. AA to feel better soon. Asthma is the worst!

I've been washing clothes. Where do they all come from? I think they multiply like rabbits in the hamper! Just about caught up again for a day or two.

My baby looks so much older with her braces off! I can't believe she looks so grown up this afternoon. Guess I'd better get used to it. She's in 8th grade now. E, she said to send you this. Her ears feel better. David still feels yucky. Hope he's better by tomorrow.

Tomorrow night is our town's big rivalry football game. David's school usually loses, but we are going to watch the band anyway. I'm always torn. I graduated from the other school, but I cheer for David's team now. They are having "Taste of Norman" before the game. Area restaurants provide the food and people buy punch cards. You can go from booth to booth and sample foods from each restaurant. EVERYONE comes and the money gets divided between the music programs at each school. Cross your fingers that we have good weather.

Ok....so my story of the day:
DH worked from home this AM b/c he had an appt to get his foot Xrayed and dopplered (which is checking the blood vessels for those of you without medical background). A week ago, he fell off a roof (very long story) but appeared unharmed except for large scrapes down both shins. Every day this week, his foot has looked worse and worse with a large green egg looking bruise near the ankle.........I kept telling him ...you should get that checked! Being a man..... ....he ignored me! Till finally he went to the Dr. last night, who told him......you better get that checked! ... ....so off he went today and then went to work. He told me that they said it was ok. In the meantime, the Dr. calls and says.....there is an area that they want to look at again......he needs to get it re-Xrayed.........which of course he refuses to have done b/c.....He is at work by this time....... ......so he finally leaves work and goes and finds out his ankle is broken. (NO KIDDING??? REALLY? LOL).....but it turns out to be an old break from when he fell down the steps when he was working in Erie (I told him then to get Xrayed too.... ....didnt listen!) so now we are waiting for the Dr. to call and tell him if he needs to go and get a cast put on it............and what is he doing right now? Cutting the grass.....out on the tractor! .......... MEN!!!!!!!!!!

MP, our football starts everywhere this weekend too. Thursday we work concession at University of Delaware. Friday is high school football and Saturday is University of Maryland. The last 2 are to watch the band.

A proud mom moment. Sarah just called. She went to a Wesley Foundation meeting tonight. That is the Methodist Campus Ministry. It is directly after band practice and 3 or 4 other clarinets go so she went too. They share a meal and then Bible study. She thinks she will be going back and is talking about which church service she may attend. I am so happy about that.

Kind of hiding out here tonight... need a psuedo not so good mood to go away. I did eventually end up at Target and finally bought Shrek... I've been told I need to see it, so hopefully tomorrow I will be able to watch as soon as I get home from work.

Donna - glad you enjoyed the picture....last picture I saw of myself via the internet.......I was doing tequila shots in D.C. the night before my nephews wedding, so this one was a major improvement.......come to think of it I was wearing the same shirt........

One other thing, can I say how much I love my hairdresser???!!!

I was soooo overdue for a haircut, and getting my van fixed today meant another day without a haircut. I decided to stop by the salon on my way home from picking up the van to see when I could schedule an appointment.

Just as I was parking the van, she pulled in from her dinner break. She was booked tonight, but she squeezed me in between two appointments and took care of me! Woo hoo!

Donna your DH sounds like someone I know. I never did go to the doctor with my terrible sprain last spring. Truthfully, I was afraid they'd put me in a cast and tell me I couldn't drive.

Allen came home with all sorts of new job loss rumors. I'm getting so tired of this. We know we're going eventually, so I wish they'd just let us go and put us out of our misery.

We ate nachos for dinner and now Amy is chewing bubble gum. It's so funny that she's trying to squeeze in everything she's been missing. I ate way too much! I really need to walk around the block a few times, but I'm too sleepy.

If all I have to do is roll dice, I think I could play bunco. I wouldn't know what I was doing, but I can roll dice! I'd probably be better at that than the bowling. I don't bowl very well, even if I have bumpers! I'm the angel that has been known to throw the bowling ball behind me.

My friends were utterly surprised that it was possible to get a gutter ball while using the bumpers...
at least I have fun when I bowl... as long as we don't record the scores
