Nite Nite from Valerie....not to be confused with MARSHA valerie.....:wave2:

LK - I hope SB has a change in the weather for her time away....reminds me of the last time we were all in WDW together.....does SB generally brings the storm clouds along in her luggage? Hopefully your upcoming POP trip will be a bit drier than last August was for us!

See you all in the AM!

::yes::

Warning Long Post .......feel free to skip

Ok so I come to the dis to catch up and I'm kinda in a funk, this back to school stuff is getting to me. I can't tell ya'll how much it has helped to sit here and laugh and cry and sorta deal with it. I think the main source is coming from the notion that he might be my one and only and a chapter in my life might very well be coming to a close. It's a process I guess.......

I'd like to apologies up front for not answering most of the posts and for being selfish and mainly answering the ones that pertain to me.....I just wanted to get it down in writing so maybe I can start to get a hold of this thing. I'd also like to thank you all for being so supportive and understanding.

First all hugs all around for being such amazing people!!

From here out its kinda random so here goes…10 pts for anyone that can keep up!

Star...we can cry together when the boys go off to first grade. Ok, maybe I will be happy dancing the first couple days when I have the house to myself, but I’m sure I will get lonely by the second week.
It's a date.....I'm trying to fill in the first week or so but I know eventually I'll have to face facts.

I don't watch much TV I’m a total computer nerd that doesn't really need more free time to spend here. I'm actually thinking of getting a part time job.....even more so after I read that Bethany plans to work a lil more. I'm thinking more money for Disney and less time alone.....what do you guys think?? Keep in mind I haven't worked since 96......I'm a little afraid of having to "work well with others" lol

I'm feeling better today. Still a little hurt, but I'll get over it. It just seems lately when we discuss current affairs and we disagree about anything he jumps all over me. I can't help it if I don't always agree with him. Maybe it's just stress with work, but that's not my fault either. :(

Glad to hear the visit to the dentist went well. Bethany and Star, I remember being sad when my kids started first grade. It is a little lonely. I still am a little sad each year when they start back. BUT, I have found that I can get errands run and housework done in record time when I'm on my own. And I can crank up MY music and dance around like a fool while I'm doing it. All of this and no one is here to see or be in my way. There are benefits.
!

MP sometimes being a wonderfully intelligent & dynamic woman can be a burden or so I’ve heard ;)

A special note for Star, we bought an Expedition. We looked at a few different vehicles, but for the money and the ability to get around in the snow, it was the best choice for us. And today I spent over 400 getting the Mustang repaired, ah the joys of low miles, clogged fuel filters, bad O2 sensors, and poor alignment. But it's all better now, new oil and new tires. I know how to spend Pete's money for sure. But after all that, it is still cheaper to own a 98 that is paid for than having that car payment.

LOVED the pics, great to see you and WOO HOO love to see them fords on the road!!

enough to make a grown man cry

I don't know about the grown man Steph but it sure made me cry! My problems are so little in the grand scheme of things.

Cami- great story….This is how the DS first day of Pre-k went....Our Pastor had been talking about praying up (for strength) when you feel you have an insurmountable task ahead of you. My DS had been worrying all week about the 1st day of school….when the time came he got in line with the others and never even flinched…..I of course quivered a bit but held it until I got in the car. Later that day I asked why he wasn’t scared and he said “I prayed up and God gave me strength”

I’m thinking I need to take a lesson from my then 4 year old…

Good night ya’ll and thanks for giving me a place to talk late at night when no one else is around.

Oh my...you can tell i'm tiered and emotional!!

Stephs story made me cry!! thankfully I have the office to myself!

starting to snap out of my mood.....things are a bit difficult here just now....doesn't help that the mother of the boy that hit my nephew with the golf club assaulted my sister the other night as well!
also getting stressed out about the whole house buying thing....do we bring down the debts....save for the deposit...take out a loan????? really boils down to how quickly i want to leave my parents (and that changes about every day!)

well now i've brought you all down.....better get on with some work.

taking my 3 nephews to the safari park on saturday which should be good fun and will hopefully raise my spirits

Hey! What am I? chopped pierogi?
:hyper:

Good morning everyone! Came to find the riddle this morning, but alas, it will have to be 'better late than never' again. :(
Hope everyone has a good day.....I am off to work!

Just so Brian doesn't feel left out......

Yesterday I was copied on an e-mail with several other people about a golf outing with one of our vendors.

Someone "replied to all", I'M IN!

Now who do you think I thought of? :teeth:

It is catching on. Soon it will be everywhere.

Morning! :wave2:

To the mom's with kids heading to Kindergarten soon. It is truly a milestone and a change on your life as well as theirs, but can be wonderful. They're heading out into a whole new world (I'm sure you'll excuse the Disney tie-in!) - and you'll marvel as they experience a new part of their lives! :grouphug:

I wish I was IN but I gotta go. Lew's leaving very early so he can go grocery shopping for his parents before work....I've got to extricate the kids from bed and haul them off to camp before I head to work.

Have a great day everyone!
:space:

See Brian? I told you waaaaaay back to get that phrase copyrighted. You could be rolling in the big dough with Donald Trump and "You're fired!". :D

Cami and Star - :grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug: (thought you both could use a bunch of those!)

Steph, that little girl's t-shirt sounds so cute! Just imagine how much her daddy has waited for that moment to meet her.

Good morning all. Little sleepy here... my back was (and sort of is) misbehaving and I had a hard time getting to sleep last night. But at least I get to see Josh Groban (again, I know) tonight :teeth:

Oh and Star, why would I ever skip a post of yours... hope you can get out of your funk soon

Hi Valerie :wave2:

Cami... I also hope you can gt out of your funky mood too. Sorry everything has been so difficult.
Good luck with the house buying thing too... I am so glad we are done with that... my sister has just begun herself and feeling some of the same pains (no parents though)

Donna since you were so generous with your hugs... here's one back just because

Hey! What am I? chopped pierogi?
So many things to say to that one... so little time ;)

LOL Lou :teeth:

Gail I do hope all goes well for you this morning... but where did that ship take you off to  :p

Morning LK!

Good Morning:wave2:

Not much on my agenda today.......DH has his golf league tonight so I think the kiddies & I will be getting pizza for dinner~at least I don't have to cook:teeth: I do enjoy those nights where I don't have to cook & we can eat on paper plates!

Brian~I am sorry that I slept in....maybe when it's my day I'll email you the riddle the night before so even if I sleep in you'll be able to have it before work~btw as of the 31st the sleeping in thing is over so I'll be back on my regular routine....I promise::yes::

Star~A few things for you today.........
#1~You need to teach me how to put multiple quotes using the op's name in to your post....pleeeease.....I've always wanted to be able to do that!
#2~About the school thing......I feel your pain:hug: I have Dylan cause the twins went to kindergarten......the night before I was sobbing & telling my DH I wanted another baby-he said "Wait 6 months, see if you still feel the same way" 6 months was March-I got pregnant with Dylan in April. When Dylan went to kindergarten I felt almost the same way but I realized that I can't continue to have kids cause I'm missing babies-it would be an endless cycle & it has to stop somewhere. So.......I am trying to be happy playing with my friends babies & my nieces & nephews.
I also started subbing in thje school system as a para pro & a secretary~that way I can work when I want & say no when I don't want to......I'm around for all the kids school things & I love volunteering at their schools. Honest truth:I'd have another but DH says he is done~I'm ok with it.

Cami~I hope that you'll be feeling better ASAP:hug:

E!~Have fun tongiht!!!!:Pinkbounc

Lars, your dinner sounds great tonight! Actually I am pretty sure that is what we are having tonight. I suggested that my dad come over for dinner first and then go up together to the concert. Pizza sounded like the perfect option for us!

I know I am not Star, but how I do multiple quotes (when I am not so terribly lazy as I was this morning ;)) I just right click on quote and open in a new window... then I copy and past back to the old one.

Hmm... I think I'm too tired to have said that right... oh Star... teach her ;)

Slow day here at work, and because my left lower back was bugging me last night, of course my right shoulder & neck are whacked out today. Anyone good for a massage? :p

The T shirt for Daddy hit this guy too!

I love being Daddy to two little girls. While Mrs. AA was reading some of Alice in Wonderland to Lela last night, I was reading a short Raggedy Ann story to Abigail.

About halfway through it she started looking around the room because she realized she did not have her Raggedy Annn doll.

I helped her find it and then thought she would be sleeping with it. Instead she took it and put it on her dresser next to Andy and told her to stay there. She wanted them to hear the story together.

Then as an extra treat for me, later she bumped her head on the headboard and allowed me to hold her instead of insisting on Mama. (Believe me, that doesn't happen often!)

Of course, there were lots of annoying little kisses and tickling involved......

However, everyone is commenting to us on how big she is getting too, and Mrs. AA also tends to tear up thinking about it because we have no plans for other children. Abigail starts school (K4) for the first time next week and Lela will be in 1st grade.

Mrs. AA hasn't been by herself at home since Abigail was born!

Morning all!! Slow getting going this morning. Teenagers overrunning the house last night till late. Movie in the park cancelled on account of rain so they took over the family room and had an in door movie. Sounded like the house was gonna blow in surround sound!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Good thing is at least you know where they are - I'd rather hear the noise - it's the quiet that's unnerving!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:teeth:

Donna - are you packed yet?!:bounce: :Pinkbounc
