I did great this morning......kids were very helpful....nobody was dragging their feet getting up or getting out of the house....got them to camp on time....got to work on time....and then realized I forgot to put on any makeup!!!!!

I have to go to work tomorrow but it's a day of play. I'm part of a group that's being taken to Newport, RI, a/k/a the City by the Sea, for a recognition event. And then....I'm on vacation next week!!!!!

Here's our itinerary:
10:00 a.m. All participants meet in the Stars & Stripes conference room
10:30 a.m. Departure from MetLife to the Vanderbilt Hall Hotel
11:00 a.m. Luncheon begins!
1:00 p.m. Departure from Vanderbilt Hall Hotel to Goat Island
1:30 p.m. Viking boat tour of Newport Harbor (approximately 60 minutes)
2:45 p.m. Departure from Goat Island back to shopping area in Newport
3:00 p.m. Free time to shop and see the sites!
4:00 p.m. Departure from Newport back to MetLife

As for me, I won't be around tomorrow. Mrs. AA has invited all of the first graders and their parents over to our house Saturday morning to let us meet each other before school starts.

I'm going to keep the girls out of her way for house cleaning then help set up tables etc.

She will be singing at a church Sunday morning near Columbus, GA. (visiting friends) so wish us luck.

We are only going ot be there through Tuesday. So it sounds like we will just miss you. Bummer

OK....I just want to say, for the record.....I'm sorry. It won't ever happen again, I promise. I didn't want to, and I know I shouldn't have.....but I did, and I swear it won't ever happen again. I do know better. It's not like I was born yesterday. But, I just couldn't help myself.......
I was reading the thread about Springsteen's editorial piece in the NY Times today, and one of the posts got me so........unsettled........ that I responded.
