Andrea & Kory's 6/11/11 Wishes Wedding--WP&GF Ballroom**Updated 8/15 Ann. Pics Last!

So, this isn't wedding, or Disney, related but thought I would share :)

My matron of honor and I ran our 2nd 5k today (our first was the Princess 5k). Last time we ran it in 40 minutes, this time we ran it in 36 mintues and 20. Not too bad :) It was at Sea World to benefit the trainer who was killed by the killer whale. Sad, but fun at the same time. Our next 5k is going to be Expedition Everest in May

I got our toasting flutes yesterday..love them! They look a little funny in the pics since there is writing on both sides (I couldn't figure out how to get the writing from the other side to not show through)

Here's the side with the date...both flutes have this on it

We each have our own name on ours

Those flutes have so much detail I love them!!!

To get the design to show up better in pics you can put tissue paper in them:goodvibes

I LOVE the shirts and the toasting glasses. That was a good idea to have someone make the shirts for you. I bought all the iron on designs and a shirt and am now freaking out about messing them up.

Love those flutes!!! Where'd you get those from?

I got them from arribas brothers

ooh..good idea..I'll have to try that. Thanks!

Thanks! And yeah, we didn't trust ourselves with the shirts and the girls only paid around $14 each for them since we decided to do multiple colors and both sides.

so I'm tired of waiting for my maid of honor to send the pics that she said she would (par for the course with her it seems) so here's the ones that my mom took!

We started our drinking around the world in England at the pub!

2-1.jpg

When we got in there, the piano lady (totally forgot her name) noticed us right away and had me come up front.

8-1.jpg

She asked me a bunch of questions and then made up a whole song about me. She then asked each girl in the group about themselves and made up a verse about them. It was hilarious and a great way to start!

9-1.jpg

I started off with a car bomb (no starting easy for me!)

11-1.jpg

We went to Canada where I shared a cranberry cosmo-ish frozen drink with several girls. Then we headed to Mexico to get some margaritas!

14-1.jpg

Here is my matron of honor trying my margarita. She doesn't drink because she doesn't like the flavor and sadly, this one was no different.

My maid of honor and I have a picture just like this from 10 years ago when we met, so we had to re-create it.

Yes, I am addicted to my cell phone

17-1.jpg

But I am not the only one

Here's a picture of the backs of the girls shirts

Next we went to Norway where I got some coffee drink with liquor in it but I didn't like it so I sipped it (hey it counts!) and handed it over to my maid of honor.

Then we went to China for the Peach Schnapps Tea (or something like that)..and no, my matron of honor still didn't have an alcoholic beverage

23-1.jpg

My maid of honor had made up a scavenger hunt for me. One of the things was to find a "dad' to walk me down the aisle. This guy was nice and he was wearing orange to match my blue, so he worked

In Germany we got wine

and in Italy we got Asti

And that's where my mom's pictures ends..we skipped America because I'm not a huge beer person. Then in Japan, I decided that food would count so we ate dinner there in the quick service restaurant (don't like there drinks either). We were running short on time so we ran over to Moracco to get one of their tangerine drinks and since I wanted creme brulee badly, I decided that would count for France!

We stayed through Illuminations, but we didn't really watch it (its not my favorite fireworks show). Then we headed to Jellyrolls and my maid of honor left (grrr..made me so angry). But we still had a blast and they made me get up on stage which I DO NOT DO!! My friend who is one of the piano players knows this and won't call me up even if my friends request it, but unfortunately it was his night off so I got dragged up on stage. I dragged one of my best friends with me and there were a couple of people up there too. For those of you familiar with Jellyrolls, I did the tree dance. We stayed until midnight and then head home (well, I headed to Pop Century...we had gotten a hotel room so we wouldn't have to drive home but we didn't drink anything at Jellyrolls so I would have been fine).

We had such a great time! Next time I'll post about the bridal shower!

Thats so cool, looks like you girls had a great time! I love the shirt idea, and the scavenger hunt! I wish I could have something like that! ..but Im not holding my breath...:rolleyes1 Anyways, I cant wait to see the shower photos!! Youre getting really really close now!!! :goodvibes

As everyone has possibly told you, you wont remember the little stresses, all you'll remember is the AWESOME time you had.

BTW love the invite.

Hi,

Looks like a really fun bridal shower.. I wish I lived that close to WDW to have mine there! :cloud9: - Epcot & Jelly Rolls... perfect!

sounds like it was a good idea to book a room at Pop Century afterwards - spend more time in the World! .. I guess the drinking laws are different in the USA as here we are only allowed one drink if we're driving lol :cutie:

Not long at all till your wedding now! hope all is going well & you're excited! :bride:

So here is my wedding dress. I found this in the catalog last fall and knew I wanted it right away! but then when it came time for trying on dresses, I wasn't so sure. There was another Alfred Angelo one that I really liked, but unfortunately you couldn't really see the details on the skirt in pictures. So after lots of dresses, I went back to the one I knew was made for me!

The dress was supposed to take 10 weeks, to come in but they called me last Friday to tell me it was ready! It only took 4 weeks! I go in on Sunday for my first fitting. I can't wait to see what it looks like when it's actually my size!

The first picture is the model so you can see what its supposed to look like

This next one is me in it, but about 4 sizes too big

And here's the second dress I really almost got (on sale it was like $600. I was going to see if they hem it above my knees and just wear it for the reception, but they were honest with me and said they were afraid it wouldn't work right and didn't want me to waste the money if it was going to turn out badly)

Such a beautiful dress! I love love love it!!! :)

Really great pictures! What a truly lovely Disney wedding - I love how so many events are on property!

Hey, are all the bridesmaids behaving themselves? I hope so!!!

Yeah, you can't drink and drive here, but I was expecting to be drinking all night, and I didn't drink for 3 hours at the end. And you're wedding is coming up soon too...you're right behind me!

Such a beautiful dress! I love love love it!!! :)

Thanks! I loved it when I first saw it, but then after I bought it, I wasn't so sure but I think I'm back to loving it now!

Love this picture!

Very cool!

Thanks!

Hey, are all the bridesmaids behaving themselves? I hope so!!!

Thanks! And for now, they all are! (except that my maid of honor hasn't sent me any bridal shower/bachelorette party pics like she said she would but that's really not any big deal)

It looks like you had such a great time. I would love to do this but there will only be us and our Mums so not sure it would be as much fun. My Mum doesn't drink but then again Chris' Mum can party enough for all of us put together so maybe we could :rotfl:

I hope to go to Jellyrolls on our wedding night.I've never been and it sounds like so much fun. Don't fancy going up on stage much either though!

I really love your champagne flutes, what a wonderful keepsake to have. Can't wait for more updates.

You could totally do it! Why don't you do "Drinking and Desserts Around the World". Then all of you could participate! And I've seen several brides in their dresses at Jellyrolls and in fact, we had thought about doing it, but seeing as our reception doesn't end until 1:30, it won't be possible. Go for it!
