Some rides have net bags for your belongings. Use them! My husband's backpack went flying out of the Dinosaur ride and we had to wait until the end of the day to have it retrieved.
...and watch your stuff!

... on all rides I make sure everything is zipped and I put a foot through a shoulder strap to anchor it down.
