It gives me GREAT PLEASURE to announce..

IT IS DONE!!!!! I have just booked VWL for our upcoming Mardi Gras trip!!!! So as of March, we will have conquered almost all of the current DVC resorts... last one on the list.. VGF!!!

We have been members for 15+ years and one would think we would have stayed at all the DVC resorts in that length of time but we have not...YET!!! The problem is (well its a good problem) is we love so many of them we keep wanting to go back to them and it keeps us from progressing through the list.

So far we have stayed at OKW, AKV (both Jambo and Kidani), SSR, BLT, HHI, VB, VGC, AULANI, BCV and BWV.

Coming up in October...on opening day we will be checking into VGF...can I say Woot Woot!!!

The only one left to stay at is VWL but it is not from lack of trying!! I do not have it as a home resort and at the 7 month mark I have not been able to get availability! Maybe I need to put this on my highest "To Do" list and get it done.

VWL was our first home resort when we bought in 11 years ago, and it is still our favorite and closest to our heart. I truly feel I am coming home when we stay there, although we have stayed at many of the other resorts over the years. The villa pool is quiet, the small lobby area is usually tranquil, and then the lodge is just steps away, with all the food and bar options one could want, all the hustle and bustle of the cavernous lobby, the pool and the pool bar, we just love days that we spend there. And taking the boat to MK, or over to GF or CR or Poly when we want to dine is just so convenient!

I'm sure you'll have a wonderful time!

We joined in 93 and stayed at OKW every year until 2006 when we cruised on the Wonder and then stayed at BWV. Obviously we love OKW. Since then, we've done all the DW resorts and VB except for VWL and AKV. We will be staying at VGF in February. Hard to believe that we've been members for this long, visit at least once a year, and still have not visited all the DW resorts, HH or Hawaii. I wonder if it is common to for members to spend most of their time at one resort, year in and year out????

After November, we will have stayed at all of the DVC resorts except the VGC and Aulani. We are staying at VGF in November. Each one is unique however I would say that at this time the one that I like to stay at the least would be AKV. There's just not a lot of walking area and you have to take buses to get anywhere else in WDW.

We stayed at HHI in May, 2012 and enjoyed a studio, a 2 bedroom villa and one night in a grand villa! Totally spoiled wth that one!
We have stayed in mostly studios and 2 bedroom units in all of the other resorts. We did have a one bedroom at BWV.

OP- Have you done VGF yet? We just checked off our last east coast DVC resort in Dec (AKV)...except VGF...don't know when or if we'll try VGF (it costs so many points). I don't think we'll do the west coast DVC resorts. I wanted to save points for Aulani but the flight is just so long and expensive from here in MD (and we're a family of 5). Enjoy VWL...it's my DH and DS's fave (if you're talking resort only...DH loves BCV for the closeness to Epcot).

No.. that will be the only WDW DVC resort we have not stayed at after this upcoming trip to VWL (in 4 days ).

I know the points will be high... but I can see us trying it out just to say that we conquered them all.... but then I've heard about something coming in the Poly????

When we stay at VGF in September (already booked) we will only have Vero left to go. We LOVED Aulani and want to go back, but the airfare is keeping us at bay! We are going to HHI for the 2nd time in June. AKV is our home resort and still our favorite. We find Kidani very quiet and peaceful. We really enjoyed BCV in December. Being so close to Epcot for all the Christmas festivities was awesome. We were actually surprised at how much we enjoyed SSR - had heard mixed reviews, but we stayed there last Labor Day week and had a wonderful time. Just proved to me that DVC has something for everyone! I stayed at BCV with my granddaughter (just the 2 of us) and I had a hard time getting her away from the pool. BLT was the grandsons trip - so thankful for the extra bathroom that time. As much as we enjoy taking our grandchildren, we still enjoy our adult only trips.
