What a great start to the day at DHS!
The new Disney Junior Live show is so cute!
And I love how you can always count on a CM to be nearby to help when needed!
The boys look like they were having a great time at the playground! I have avoided that area with Reid so far.
It was a really fun morning! Best time at DHS we'd had with the boys yet.
The boys loved that Disney Junior show. Jake and the Neverland Pirates was really exciting for them.
Me, too! CMs at Disney are the best!
They were having so much fun at the playground that day. I can see some definite advantages to avoiding the playgrounds at Disney as long as possible. It's hard to make them leave sometimes.
looks like a fun time so far! your days are so the opposite of ours - you chill out while we hurry through as much as possible! one day I will have a long time to spend chilling like you, I must! btw, I thought there was an age minimum at the honey I shrunk the kids playground, like it was 3 and up maybe? looks like they don't enforce that?
I know, it's always kind of interesting when I read your trip report and see how much you all get done, and I sort of think that I'm sure we could do more than we do, but somehow, relaxing days suits us. I had never heard that there was an age minimum at Honey I Shrunk the Kids playground. My boys have been going there since before they could walk and no one's ever stopped us. It does require constant vigilance on the part of the parent to keep a crawler safe in there, but we've never had any problems.
Sounds like a fun day so far!
I doubt that we'll be able to avoid the Disney Junior show this trip. Maddie loves Jake so much! She screams "Jake" the way a preteen would scream "Justin Beiber" (or how I would scream "Adam" if I saw my beloved Adam Levine...)
We meant to go to Pizza Planet last trip, but never did. It looks like lots of fun. So glad that you enjoyed your Karmic Cupcake!
Those pictures of the boys are so cute. You must be really, really relaxed and patient, or you must pack lots of extra clothes when you're in the parks.

I'd be going crazy imagining all of the whining I'd get from a wet toddler.
The Disney Junior show's really not too bad. There were a ton of little kids who loved Jake. Of course, if they threw in Adam Levine for all the moms in the audience, it would be a much more popular attraction.
We had a really good lunch at Pizza Planet. It's hard to find good counter service at DHS and Pizza Planet was by far the best we've had there. The cupcake was a nice touch, too.
Thanks! I do find Disney World to be a very relaxing place. If they're going to get that wet, that's the perfect place for it. I had one spare outfit for each of them, so I figured it would be fine. Of course, Landon would sit around in wet clothes all day and never complain about it.
I keep learning new things from your TR!
I had no idea that you could sit in the sleigh outside of the Christmas shop! I thought it was just a prop for looking, like those nemo figures in Epcot. Now that I know, I'll keep it in mind for when Everett needs to burn off extra energy. Semi-contained area for climbing- now you're speaking my language!
I also had no idea that CS places closed before the park did! Why on earth would they close before dinner time? That just seems crazy, but now I know to check the times guide in the future!
Carter and Landon looked like they were having a ball at Disney Junior! I was also worried about the no seats thing, but Everett also did well, and didn't run around. I guess the show is entertaining enough to keep their attention.
The boys looked like they were having so much fun in the water! I personally hate that water feature because Everett is magnetically attracted to it, and then after he has gotten all good and wet, he realizes how much he hates being wet, and then starts pulling at his clothes and yelling "Fix it!-wet!" very insistently

I always bring extra clothes, but I still have to pull him out of the play area so we don't get the extra clothes wet!
Several years ago, before we had kids, Jeremy and I got our picture taken in that sleigh. There was a Photopass photographer set up there and he was taking pictures of the people in the sleigh, so when there's not a Photopass guy there, I'm don't think twice about climbing up there and it's great for toddlers. It's actually a pretty good parade viewing place, too, if you get there early enough.
I do wish they'd leave Columbia Harbour House open a little longer at night. That's always one of our favorite dinner spots, but we'll have to get used to checking the times guide or going for lunch.
It was actually really nice having no seats in the theater, at least as far as Carter and Landon were concerned. They could dance and stand up and move around a little, but the show did keep their attention very well.
The water in the playground is always kind of a mixed blessing. I like them being able to cool off when it's hot and they really love playing in the water, but they do get their clothes completely wet. Carter and Landon don't seem to care as long as they're playing, which makes it easy enough to get them changed into dry clothes once we leave the playground. Of course, if they get wet twice, then it's much more difficult.
That cupcake looks delicious! I think WDW is one of the few places where strangers would be willing to give away/accept food from others. I don't know why, but I normally don't walk up to strangers offering them various things, but I always find myself doing that at least once while in a park.
I'm trying to think back on a past Pizza Planet lunch and remember if that cupcake is sold there or if that family bought it at Starring Rolls or the Writer's Shop....because if that's at Pizza Planet, I think I'll be making a lunch stop there in May.
It seems like kids gravitate towards water every time it's available. But it looks like Carter and Landon had a great time, though.
It was a really good cupcake! I agree, most places accepting food from a stranger would be a little weird, but I had a good feeling about this lady and it's easy to see how the dining plan would cause people to end up with extra cupcakes.
The cupcake is sold at Pizza Planet. It was kind of funny, because you could sort of tell which families were on the dining plan based on if each person had a cupcake. We'll definitely go back to Pizza Planet and we might even buy our own cupcake next time.
Water is great fun for kids. I think it's because they don't give any thought as to what's going to happen after they play in the water and have wet clothes. The water probably felt cool and good, but not worth getting wet over for an adult.
