An Unforgettable Finish- Oct 2011 TR **Happily Ever After (Completed 5/3)

Such cute pictures of your boys again! They look so happy, it makes me smile every time.

Cake pop? Might have to.

What a great ending to the day!

That's so sweet that the boys got to see Mickey & Minnie before leaving! As always.....the pictures are adorable!

That cake pop sounds right up my alley! I hope I can remember to try it out this fall. And what a good wife you are saving some of the cake pop. I mean, I love my husband & I think I'm a pretty good wife to him. I just don't know if I'm that good! :lmao:

I think leaving the MK is always hard, unless it's like the FIRST night of vacation. After that it gets increasingly harder to leave. :sad2:

Love the Mickey and Minnie photos! Hahha where is the Mickey love? :rotfl:

Hmm... this cake pop had EARS? Wow, I was picturing the teeny weeny kind they have at Target, but this sounds so much better! Hooray for happiness on a stick!

Your boys are just so adorable with Mickey and Minnie! :lovestruc I'll bet that when they are interacting with the characters, there is not one person in the room without a huge smile on his or her face. They certainly make me smile!

Wow, that cake pop sounds awesome.

Happiness on a stick for under four dollars had me cracking up! :lmao: I will definitely be getting in on that action!

I love that you were able to end your day with a visit with the Main Mice. The boys look so happy, and that's what Disney is all about.

Aww, I love the pics of the boys with Mickey and Minnie! I'm glad Landon decided to give Mickey some attention, he was looking a little sad at being so left out! However, Minnie is pretty awesome, I'm not surprised they wanted to see her first! :cool1:

Your cake pop sounds awesome. I'm so obsessed with cake pops. I am totally trying one from the Confectionary in May now, thanks to you! First the caramel chewy bar, and now this!

Everytime I see pictures of the boys meeting characters, I get such a warm feeling inside. They are so adorable and just look so happy to meet them. That's what it's all about. :goodvibes

Your cake pop sounds really tasty. May be on my list of treats to get in the future.

I love looking at the pictures of the boys with the characters, too. The look on their faces makes me happy. I'm glad they enjoy the characters so much.

I loved that cake pop! It was hard writing about it, because it made me want another one.

Such cute pictures of your boys again! They look so happy, it makes me smile every time.

Cake pop? Might have to.

Thanks! I love watching the boys meet the characters. They really liked seeing Minnie that night.

It's worth a try! I loved them!

Meeting Mickey and Minnie and getting a cake pop to go really topped off a great day.

Carter and Landon were so excited to see Minnie and Mickey that night. I would never have imagined they'd like the characters that much.

I hope you find time for a cake pop this fall. They're very magical. It wasn't easy saving some of that cake pop, but whenever I like a food that much, I sort of want Jeremy to try it, too. He did end up liking it. We've had more cake pops since then and we both like the red velvet ones the best.

I think leaving the MK is always hard, unless it's like the FIRST night of vacation. After that it gets increasingly harder to leave. :sad2:

That night, we still had half our vacation left, but all of a sudden, it seemed like it was going by way too fast. I hate leaving the Magic Kingdom, especially on the last night.

I don't know why the boys were so into Minnie that night. :confused3 I know they like Mickey, too, but maybe Minnie gives better hugs and kisses.

I would say that cake pop is roughly the same size and shape as a Mickey Ice Cream Bar. I love those things. If only I had a cake pop right now! Happiness on a stick at home. :cloud9:

Wow, that cake pop sounds awesome.

Thanks! That tends to be true, actually. A lot of times when the boys are meeting characters, even perfect strangers will stop and smile at them. The only exception is occasionally the people in line right behind us. We try not to take too long, but it's hard to rush the boys.

It was an awesome cake pop!

Happiness on a stick for under four dollars had me cracking up! :lmao: I will definitely be getting in on that action!

I love that you were able to end your day with a visit with the Main Mice. The boys look so happy, and that's what Disney is all about.

For under four dollars, you can't afford not to buy happiness on a stick! It's one of my new favorite things to get at Disney World.

Seeing Mickey and Minnie was the perfect way to end the day. It totally made the boys' night and it was fun for us, too.

Thanks! I loved watching them meet Mickey and Minnie. Mickey seemed to feel much better once Landon went over to him. I think Minnie knelt down first, which the boys always appreciate. It's hard when you're that much shorter than the characters.

I've never had any cake pop except for the ones at Disney World. I'm pretty sure any other one just wouldn't measure up. I suppose I'm a bad influence when it comes to finding new snacks at Disney World. I've recently had to accept the fact that there are just too many snacks I like at Disney to have each of them on every trip.

What a great start to the day at DHS!

The new Disney Junior Live show is so cute!

And I love how you can always count on a CM to be nearby to help when needed! :thumbsup2

The boys look like they were having a great time at the playground! I have avoided that area with Reid so far.

looks like a fun time so far! your days are so the opposite of ours - you chill out while we hurry through as much as possible! one day I will have a long time to spend chilling like you, I must! btw, I thought there was an age minimum at the honey I shrunk the kids playground, like it was 3 and up maybe? looks like they don't enforce that?

Sounds like a fun day so far!

I doubt that we'll be able to avoid the Disney Junior show this trip. Maddie loves Jake so much! She screams "Jake" the way a preteen would scream "Justin Beiber" (or how I would scream "Adam" if I saw my beloved Adam Levine...)

We meant to go to Pizza Planet last trip, but never did. It looks like lots of fun. So glad that you enjoyed your Karmic Cupcake!

Those pictures of the boys are so cute. You must be really, really relaxed and patient, or you must pack lots of extra clothes when you're in the parks. :rotfl:I'd be going crazy imagining all of the whining I'd get from a wet toddler.

I keep learning new things from your TR!

I had no idea that you could sit in the sleigh outside of the Christmas shop! I thought it was just a prop for looking, like those nemo figures in Epcot. Now that I know, I'll keep it in mind for when Everett needs to burn off extra energy. Semi-contained area for climbing- now you're speaking my language!

I also had no idea that CS places closed before the park did! Why on earth would they close before dinner time? That just seems crazy, but now I know to check the times guide in the future!:thumbsup2

Carter and Landon looked like they were having a ball at Disney Junior! I was also worried about the no seats thing, but Everett also did well, and didn't run around. I guess the show is entertaining enough to keep their attention.

The boys looked like they were having so much fun in the water! I personally hate that water feature because Everett is magnetically attracted to it, and then after he has gotten all good and wet, he realizes how much he hates being wet, and then starts pulling at his clothes and yelling "Fix it!-wet!" very insistently  I always bring extra clothes, but I still have to pull him out of the play area so we don't get the extra clothes wet!

That cupcake looks delicious! I think WDW is one of the few places where strangers would be willing to give away/accept food from others. I don't know why, but I normally don't walk up to strangers offering them various things, but I always find myself doing that at least once while in a park. :confused3

I'm trying to think back on a past Pizza Planet lunch and remember if that cupcake is sold there or if that family bought it at Starring Rolls or the Writer's Shop....because if that's at Pizza Planet, I think I'll be making a lunch stop there in May.

It seems like kids gravitate towards water every time it's available. But it looks like Carter and Landon had a great time, though. :wizard:

I have never heard of the "power pack" before! Sounds interesting.

The cupcake looks really good. It looks like Mickey (on the power pack box) thinks so too!

I am really enjoying your trip report! :)

Ok, I got a little behind, so I will start by saying the cake pop will be added to the list of things I have to try.

I agree with your thoughts about the Disney Junior show. It really is a pretty good show and I love seeing how DS really enjoys it. I hate the floor part though. I couldn't feel anything from the waist down after we sat through it.:lmao:

That's some nice magic from another Disney guest to get the cupcake. I'm glad it was as good as it looked.

What is it about toddlers and water? It is impossible not to end up completely soaked if there is any around. They looked like they were having a great time though, and I guess that's really the most important part.:thumbsup2

It was a really fun morning! Best time at DHS we'd had with the boys yet.

The boys loved that Disney Junior show. Jake and the Neverland Pirates was really exciting for them.

Me, too! CMs at Disney are the best!

They were having so much fun at the playground that day. I can see some definite advantages to avoiding the playgrounds at Disney as long as possible. It's hard to make them leave sometimes.

I know, it's always kind of interesting when I read your trip report and see how much you all get done, and I sort of think that I'm sure we could do more than we do, but somehow, relaxing days suits us. I had never heard that there was an age minimum at Honey I Shrunk the Kids playground. My boys have been going there since before they could walk and no one's ever stopped us. It does require constant vigilance on the part of the parent to keep a crawler safe in there, but we've never had any problems.

The Disney Junior show's really not too bad. There were a ton of little kids who loved Jake. Of course, if they threw in Adam Levine for all the moms in the audience, it would be a much more popular attraction.:rotfl:

We had a really good lunch at Pizza Planet. It's hard to find good counter service at DHS and Pizza Planet was by far the best we've had there. The cupcake was a nice touch, too.

Thanks! I do find Disney World to be a very relaxing place. If they're going to get that wet, that's the perfect place for it. I had one spare outfit for each of them, so I figured it would be fine. Of course, Landon would sit around in wet clothes all day and never complain about it.

Several years ago, before we had kids, Jeremy and I got our picture taken in that sleigh. There was a Photopass photographer set up there and he was taking pictures of the people in the sleigh, so when there's not a Photopass guy there, I'm don't think twice about climbing up there and it's great for toddlers. It's actually a pretty good parade viewing place, too, if you get there early enough.

I do wish they'd leave Columbia Harbour House open a little longer at night. That's always one of our favorite dinner spots, but we'll have to get used to checking the times guide or going for lunch.

It was actually really nice having no seats in the theater, at least as far as Carter and Landon were concerned. They could dance and stand up and move around a little, but the show did keep their attention very well.

The water in the playground is always kind of a mixed blessing. I like them being able to cool off when it's hot and they really love playing in the water, but they do get their clothes completely wet. Carter and Landon don't seem to care as long as they're playing, which makes it easy enough to get them changed into dry clothes once we leave the playground. Of course, if they get wet twice, then it's much more difficult.

That cupcake looks delicious! I think WDW is one of the few places where strangers would be willing to give away/accept food from others. It was a really good cupcake! I agree, most places accepting food from a stranger would be a little weird, but I had a good feeling about this lady and it's easy to see how the dining plan would cause people to end up with extra cupcakes.

The cupcake is sold at Pizza Planet. It was kind of funny, because you could sort of tell which families were on the dining plan based on if each person had a cupcake. We'll definitely go back to Pizza Planet and we might even buy our own cupcake next time.

Water is great fun for kids. I think it's because they don't give any thought as to what's going to happen after they play in the water and have wet clothes. The water probably felt cool and good, but not worth getting wet over for an adult.

huh. I checked on allears and that must be where I read it, it says it's for age 4 and up. The Disney website does not say that. So I guess that was just a suggestion from allears? not sure!

Hooray for kind strangers and cupcakes! It looks really good!

I love the pictures of the boys at the Honey I Shrunk the Kids playground. Too cute!
