An Unforgettable Finish- Oct 2011 TR **Happily Ever After (Completed 5/3)

Looks like y'all were having so much fun! Especially the boys playing at Winnie the Pooh. I like your new vinylmation - very cute! I'm still trying to decide if I want to get into pin or vinylmation trading on our next trip.

And how nice that your mom was able to meet y'all for lunch & some more fun! I hope Landon was ok when you woke him up. I would've done the same thing!

Sounds like a nice morning! I love how much you guys appreciate that your boys will only be this age once. You clearly enjoy watching them explore and discover things. :goodvibes

I don't think that I commented on Landon's haircut--a very, very handsome young man.

How nice of Jeremy to surprise you with a gift! You're a lucky lady. :thumbsup2

Do I sense some foreshadowing? I do hope that the toddler you woke enjoyed his lunch!!

Sounds like fun family time for all of you! The boys were so cute playing at Pooh's, and your hubby getting you a surprise was so nice!

I can't get over how precious Landon is.

Aww, how sweet of Jeremy! Oh my goodness though, I think the Emporium is difficult enough to navigate through just by yourself, I can't imagine doing it with a stroller! Goodness. :scared1:

I love the pictures of you and Carter, so cute! Hooray for Crystal Palace! :yay:

The decision of whether or not to wake them up for a meal is always difficult. Especially if you wake up a grump who doesn't want to sit quietly in a restaurant.:scared1:

Hopefully Landon is hungry and happy.

I didn't you you could play by the Pooh attraction, but not actually ride. You know my aversion to Pooh, but it does seem like a fun play area. My only worry would be that Everett would figure out that there was a ride attached to the play area, and want to go on! the horror! :rotfl:

How funny that Jeremy bought you the DVD! We purchased the whole set when we were last at WDW, and they are pretty funny. Everett and I enjoy getting to see the parks and attractions, but DH just whines about the poor video quality. We've mostly been watching them while he is at work!

I hope that everything goes OK with lunch! I'm with you on the no waking babies rule- but I agree that lunch with the characters is an exception! I know Everett would have been thrilled to be woken up, because he believes that sleeping is a total waste of time, and I hope Landon feels the same way.

I still can't get over this haircut. In the pic of the boys running around the tree, Landon looks like a completely different child! I wouldn't have recognized the little guy at all.

Awesome on the trade! Where are those boxes at exactly? I haven't really been looking, but I don't think I've ever noticed them. I'm thinking the Easter Bunny might get the boys started on trading these things after reading your adventures with them. :thumbsup2

Can't wait to read about dinner! Waking sleeping babies is dangerous stuff. Hope it goes well for you all!!

That looks like such a great day with the boys at Magic Kingdom! I miss mine being so young!

It was a great day! I love those moments in the parks when we just take it easy and let the fun happen. I can't help but feel that touring with kids over 40 inches would be awesome...:rotfl:

We were having a lot of fun that morning. The boys love playing at Winnie the Pooh. I still have Ham, too. Carter really likes him. I love pin and vinylmation trading. It's an expensive hobby, but very fun!

I was very happy my mom got to come back for a few more days with us. Having one extra person makes taking care of the boys so much easier. I was kind of worried about waking him up, but it seemed silly to let him sleep through it.

It was a very nice morning. Kind of low-key, but sometimes that's just fine. The boys do keep getting older everyday. I'm sure it won't be long until they're all about the thrill rides and we couldn't drag them on Winnie the Pooh.

Thanks! I thought he looked very grown up and handsome with his new look.

I know, I'm very lucky. He's one of the most thoughtful guys in the world.

Maybe a tad of foreshadowing...I just couldn't let Landon pass up a free lunch!

It was a fun time for us. Carter and Landon love that new queue at Pooh's and will stay there as long as we let them. They deserved some playtime after being so good during the haircut. I love getting surprises from Jeremy!

He is precious, isn't he? :lovestruc

Jeremy's great at thinking up things I'd like. The Emporium is crazy, especially with a double stroller, but it's a lot better during the morning than it is at night when everything else is closed. It was fun to get a chance to shop there, without the stroller and without the late night crowds.

Thanks! Carter was being very sweet just then. Crystal Palace is the best!

Waking little ones is really the luck of the draw. You never know how they will handle it! I hope it turned out well for you!

I almost never wake up the boys, just because there is that chance that they'll be miserable. I thought a character meal was an acceptable time for an exception, but you just never know.

Hopefully Landon is hungry and happy.

We usually don't wake them up for meals, but I thought since it was a character meal where he would eat free, it would be worth the risk. No one wants to wake up a grump who won't sit quietly in a restaurant. :rotfl:

Well. He was definitely hungry.

Playing out side of Winnie the Pooh is one of our favorite places for the boys to play. It's small and contained, but still very fun and interesting to them. Plus, most parents don't seem to go there just to play, which means that the other kids have to leave pretty quickly so it's not too crowded. I don't believe that Pooh himself is featured in the play area. It's probably much safer than eating at Crystal Palace. :rotfl:

Those DVDs are hilarious! I have all of them but DHS now. Jeremy barely tolerates them, but Carter and I like watching them. Poor quality, of course, but still magical in their own way.

Landon's starting to figure out that he's the only one who still takes a nap now and he's sure it's really not fair. He'd much rather be playing or up watching Disney DVDs with Carter and me. By all accounts, he should have sprung out of his stroller cheerfully and ready for action.

I still can't get over this haircut. In the pic of the boys running around the tree, Landon looks like a completely different child! I wouldn't have recognized the little guy at all.

It was hard to recognize him at first! Not long after his haircut, we were at a playground and I spotted this incredibly cute little boy across the park and then I looked again and it was Landon. :rotfl:

Sometimes I think that the Vinylmation boxes cannot be found except by those who already know where they are. Sometimes they're not in plain sight, but if you know where to ask, they'll have it. Generally speaking, any store that sells Vinylmation will usually have a trading box, too. I bet your boys would love trading! Carter's started making his own trades now.

Waking babies is certainly not for the faint of heart! I just thought he'd have a good time somehow. :confused3

Oh, so many things I want to comment on....I hope I don't forget them all.

Okay, first, you know your kids' cuteness is infectious when you see so many people in the background of their pictures looking at them with such big smiles. :goodvibes

I love all of the photos! But, the photobomb of Pooh & Carter is the best!!! :thumbsup2

I am very impressed with Mr. Landon's palette. The only vegetables I can get Reid to eat are green beans & cooked carrots. He won't touch anything else. Not even corn. And at least he got some food in his tummy before he had his little meltdown. I know just how frustrating it is when your little one is crying & nothing seems to help & you just can't figure out what's wrong. And at that age it's so bad because they can't verbalize the problem. I think, as moms, we do feel like we should always know what's wrong & how to fix everything. But, we have to remember that none of us have all the answers all the time & that is okay! That was great that you had your mom there to help otherwise you might not have been able to finish your lunch. I was happy to hear that Landon felt much better once he got outside.

I feel like there was something else I wanted to comment on but now I can't remember. I really need to start taking notes when I read updates to TR's. :lmao:

Aww I love all of the pictures, but the photobomb one is priceless!!

Too bad Landon wasn't very happy the second half of the meal - but its Disney we all have those moments :rotfl: but seriously I am sure that is so frustrating glad to see he got back to his normal self!

All the photos are precious. Carter just looks so happy to be with his Disney friends. :goodvibes

I mean I'm no mom, but it didn't seem like Landon had a problem being woken up, because he was happy at first, right? Maybe he was still just tired and it suddenly just hit him. I'm glad he was fine after being taken outside!

Landon likes broccoli???? Wow! :lmao:

Lunch looks like it was off to a promising start. It's a shame that Landon didn't want to stay happy the whole time. If you can ever figure out what a toddler is thinking, you'll be a billionaire.:lmao::rotfl2:

At least Carter seemed to really be enjoying himself, and I'm glad Borsie was there to save the day and let you finish your meal in peace.

Oh no! I am so sorry that it wasn't the best meal!

Moms always know what to do.

It always seems that way. But I don't think it's true. I make it up about 150% of the time! You just do your best and keep your fingers crossed! I will never be one of those perfect Moms!

First of all, I am insanely jealous that your kids are such awesome eaters. Maddie is not too picky, but broccoli and most other vegetables are out to the question.

That photobomb picture is priceless! I think it's the cutest character picture ever.

Leave the tip, take the canoli? I am a very happy reader today. :thumbsup2

Thanks for the smiles while I'm eating lunch with a grumpy 5 year old.
