An Unforgettable Finish- Oct 2011 TR **Happily Ever After (Completed 5/3)

I liked the plan to let them eat in the stroller while you went around the World Showcase when you mentioned it. I'm glad it worked out well for you!

That's kind of funny that they froze when it was time to meet Aurora after they were so excited about the other characters. Do they tend to be shy around strangers? :confused3

Yay! I'm so glad that the stroller meal wasn't a disaster. You had me a little worried with that one.

So cute about Aurora. I could see a face character being some trouble, but didn't quite expect that from your little guys! Holding off on the princesses isn't a bad thing at all. :)

Guess the boys don't like characters that talk back! Poor things.
All of the options you guys tried at F & W sound so yummy!

Love your food pics..everything looks SO yummy!

Poor boys...they're still in training to be Prince Charming and weren't quite ready for a princess just yet. It's so cute that she told them to come back in a few years! :thumbsup2

Glad the stroller was easily fixed and still under warranty! We'll see how the rental does for the week we are there.

Dinner to go in the stroller...I can see this in our future! ;) Their character interactions are priceless. I'm so glad you've gotten so many wonderful pictures of them. I have several like that from when I was four and I love them to this day!

I hope the stroller works out for you! My only regret about ours is that I wish we had gotten a different color. At Disney World, there are tons of orange and gray City Mini's.

I'm glad dinner in the stroller worked out this time. We might try it again sometime at World Showcase, which can be kind of rough for the boys. I know, I love their character interactions. I hope Carter and Landon still like their character pictures when they're older. Sometimes I wonder how long Disney will be cool for them.

It ended up being a great plan! I was nervous they'd hate it, but it kept them busy for awhile. I'm glad it worked out, too. There were so many things we wanted to try that day.

It is kind of funny that they froze at Aurora. They're sometimes shy around strangers. They're actually really good judges of character and they will love a stranger or hate them. I thought Aurora seemed really nice, though, so who knows?

I was pretty worried about that one, too! Jeremy never worries about things like that, so he talked me into it. I'm glad it worked!

I didn't really expect it either, but they don't know Aurora, so maybe they just thought she was a girl in a pink dress and not a character, who are always big and furry. I don't mind waiting on princesses at all.

Apparently not! I thought it was worth a shot, but they sure didn't like it.
There are so many great options at F&W! It was hard to not order even more than we did.

It was all really good! I'm excited for next year's festival already!

They'll make great Prince Charmings someday and until then, we'll be fine sticking with the furry ones. Except I do think they might be happy to see Rapunzel. They love her.:rotfl:

I'm so glad that you and Jeremy got to enjoy some more of Food and Wine! Dinner in the stroller sounds nice.

Hilarious Aurora story. Not big princess guys huh? :lmao:

The picture of you getting them out of the stroller for Pooh and Tigger is adorable!

Those are some cute little boys :thumbsup2

Yes, that picture is absolutely priceless! Talk about capturing a moment in time. It will bring you great memories to come. I loved your ending to your day! And thank you for your detailed description of food and wine. I've always wanted to try to get there, but I just don't think it would be for me. My family like good food, but we are all fairly picky. We aren't TERRIBLE about trying new things (well Scott and I at least) but we tend to like what we like and stick to that. I am perfectly content eating the same breakfast and lunch for months. I know. Boring. We can always find something to drool over at Disney, though, it is mostly the desserts (HELLO...bread pudding at Ohana and Boma. And we can't forget creme brûlée!). I just don't think it would be a good use of money for us since we aren't foodies.

Haha, that's too funny that the boys didn't want to meet Aurora! Every time I see pics of her she's a little creepy looking! :scared1: It's too bad, because I love Aurora in Sleeping Beauty, she's so pretty, but in real life, they can't seem to find the right person to play her! :confused3'

Love the pics of the boys with Pooh and Tigger! It's weird that they force them to turn around so you can get a picture, but I'm sure a lot of parents would freak out if they didn't get that perfect shot. I kind of like the candid ones better when they're so little, leave the posed shots for when they're a little older!

Isn't the F&W festival great? I can't wait to go back!

You can definitely tell in that first picture how excited Carter and Landon were to be meeting Tigger and Pooh. I'm sure by that point they had completely forgotten the Aurora incident. :rotfl:

Spending the afternoon walking around World Showcase 3 times sounds blissfully wonderful, but I can only imagine how tired your feet were by the end! It's such a big part of the park that it can take a lot out of you if you're not prepared.

Can't wait to see what you all did the following day!:thumbsup2

De-lurking to say, in the first picture of this latest installment, your profile and Carter's are exactly the same. I, personally, love it when I can so easily see my kids' faces in mine. Thought I'd mention it. :goodvibes

Oh my goodness, the boys' excitement in that picture of them getting ready to meet Tigger & Pooh is infectious! I love it! :goodvibes And looks like they had a great time meeting them & then shaking their groove thing to the band. :rockband:

So glad y'all were able to enjoy some F&W offerings. I'm hoping we get to try at least a little in Oct. I know Ed won't want to try a lot....he's not really adventurous when it comes to food. So, I'll probably just choose the things I really, really want to try & that Ed may enjoy as well.

I also love Epcot at night...it is so pretty! :lovestruc

I'm so glad that the boys were able to recover from the traumatic Aurora experience.

I have to say, I love how you say things like "Landon didn't think it was fair, he only got to hear one song," and stuff like that... it always makes me laugh!

ALSO, I feel really dumb now for asking what escargot was. Because I totally knew the answer, but I guess I was temporarily confused because the picture made it look like a delicious bread roll! Hahah.

Dinner in the stroller was really nice! We'll remember that one for the future. Of course, knowing my boys, there's still a fair chance that they'd hate it the next time.

I guess not. No princesses for them for awhile. Just as well, I guess. The princess lines always seem the longest.

I'm glad we got that picture. Out of all of them, I think that one best captures the excitement of the moment.

Thanks!

I like all the shots of the boys with the characters, but it was really nice of that photographer to take one as they were getting out, too. I love how that picture turned out. If you don't love trying new foods, then the Food and Wine Festival probably wouldn't be your favorite thing to do. Jeremy and I really love trying new foods, so it was very exciting for us. I love the desserts at Disney, especially the Ohana bread pudding. I've never had the Boma bread pudding, but I bet it's good, too.

The expressions on the boy's faces as you guys are getting them out to meet Pooh and Tigger is priceless! I love how much they love these characters! Love the dancing picture....to cute!

Sounds like a great day!

The food looks awesome. I was also disapointed with Karamel Kuche. I tried the popcorn which tasted the same as WDW popcorn to me.

Oh well. I guess the name makes it sound good and that's it.

It's so cute how the kids have this "character routine". They are becoming pros hehe

I think Aurora is one of those characters who doesn't translate easily to a real person. I don't know if it would have made any difference to the boys, though. They're just not princess people, I guess.

It always sort of bothers me when parents are more focused on taking good pictures than letting the kids have fun. If Carter and Landon are happy and playing, then I don't care if the picture is perfect or not. Last time we were there, we ate at Crystal Palace without autograph books or cameras and I think we baffled some of the CMs.

I love F&W! It's so much fun. Wouldn't it be great if those booths were up all year round?

How sweet are the boys in that first picture! You can really see how excited they are! I won't judge the CMs for the picture posing too much, but I know what you mean. :goodvibes This does seem like a good way to bring an ending to a M&G, too. Watching quite a few of the "face" characters over the last couple of years, I've always seen it as their way to transition to goodbye from playing. KWIM? :confused3 I know my boys would love to spend days chatting with the characters sometimes! I'm loving how much Carter and Landon are getting into this character meeting though!

I bet they had forgotten everything except Pooh and Tigger! They love meeting characters so much, as long as it's not a princess they don't know.

I think the second time around was actually the worst. The third was okay because it was cooler, but the second wasn't fun. If I ever did do that again, I think I'd do it without the boys.

I'd been looking forward to it for awhile.

Hi! Thanks for de-lurking! I love how my boys both look like me. I know it's not really fair to Jeremy, but it is really nice when I see the similarities there. I hadn't noticed our profiles being the same in that picture, but they sure are!

Glad to hear the night ended on a positive note!

I was really glad the night ended positively, too. The afternoon was bad, but the evening made it seem like a pretty good day overall.
