An OCD Planners Dream: First Trip, MNSSHP, and Free Dining!! A September PTR

I got my Disney paperwork in the mail today! Something about seeing it all in one place in black and white makes it so real! Since we won't be using ME, I didn't even know that we would be getting luggage tags. I had a REALLY crappy day today, so it made me happy to get home to a package from Disney! Yay!

Hello fellow OCD planner! LOL glad I'm not alone! We are going to be there the same time yall are - our trip is 9/19-27, and we are going to MNNSHP on the 22nd too! My DD is 7 also! Are you guys just counting down the days with anticipation? I know we are! Looking forward to reading more!

I forgot to add this to my previous post, but we are also paying out of pocket for a meal or two on the dining plan. We decided to pay for lunch at the Sci-Fi after I reviewed the menus and compared prices.

We have so much in common! I have been buying "disney gifts" for my DD7 and DS1 for the past several months, too! And it's best the DH's dont know what we spend, LOL. You just have to look at it like this: you're buying it ahead of time to save money in the future when you're there. At least that's how I justify it!

Yay!! Isn't it the best feeling getting your docs in the mail?? We got our Magical Express tags last week. Now I am just waiting for the remaining Disney Doc!!

It really did cheer me up! The whole family is getting really excited now. Before, I think that it seemed too far away to be real!

We are staying at the All-Star Music Family Suites this year. We spent a week at Pop last year, I really enjoyed the atmosphere there, and their concierge CMs were actually some of the most friendly and helpful people I have ever met. DH just wanted to stay somewhere different this time, so we opted for the suites.

The only days we have absolutely set in stone for our trip are Sunday (Sept 20 = we'll spend the whole day at Hollywood Studios including Fantasmic, followed by dinner at T-Rex) and Tuesday (water parks then MK for dinner and MNSSHP). I know we're going to spend our EMH's at Epcot on Wednesday night, but beyond that we are (somewhat) flexible. It would be great to run into a fellow DIS-er! I'll have to let you know what we decide to wear to the party. Chloe wants to be Mulan, but I don't know about the rest of us yet! We may do cute party-themed tshirts.

I can't wait to get my "mickey mail!" I got my magical express tags in the mail yesterday afternoon. It just makes the trip so official when you get them!

Aw, thanks for noticing! It's nice to be missed.

I have been so crazy busy for the last week! School started last Thursday here, and I am on the Back to School PTA committee so I had a lot of responsibilities. I also was in charge of putting together a big poker tournament for a fundraiser for Menley's softball team (we made $1700!!). Add that to a couple of BIG meetings at work and getting the girls ready to start school and I haven't had a spare minute! But I am back and ready to focus on Disney!

Hi everyone! Sorry I have been MIA for the last week! My life has been crazy busy and I have had NO time for Disney! I have literally been in a panic for the last couple of days, because it completely freaks me out to be taking a couple of days off from Disney planning so close to my trip! But now it's time to get back down to business!

I am planning on finishing up my Disney shirts and MNSSHP bags for the girls tomorrow. Then it's time to start packing! I can't believe that time is finally here! I have a huge packing list as well as a major list of things to buy, so I am planning on doing a run to Dollar Tree tomorrow to see what I can find. Then one good trip to Wal Mart should finish me up! The major thing on my list to work on are Halloween costumes. As I told you before, Maci is getting some pink boots for FREE , but the store is about 40 miles from us so I am going to have to fit that trip in sometime this weekend.

How is everyone else doing on their trip planning?

The girls looks absolutely adorable on their first day back to school!!1 Yes, Devon is looking forward to going back actually, he keeps saying the sooner school starts the sooner we go to Disney!!

You are not the only one whi plans out outfits!! LOL, I did the same thing, if you read my trip report, I have Devon's outfits all picked out!! Yes I am a dork, but like you wanted to make sure I didn't need to pick him up anything before we left!

I am actually nervous about talking to Devon's teacher as well, mainly b/c he is only going to be in school a week and a half before I pull him out for our trip, oh well, I figure since it's so early in the school year, they should just be reviewing. I will say when I took him out of school in December for or trip, the teacher was awesome about, she gave me all his work he would miss and everything. It was funnt, b/c I found out that 2 other kids in his class were going to Disney the same week we were there! Wouldn't you know it, we ran into both families!

I have been looking all over for your trip report, but could not remember the name of it, and thankfully have found it again! I love the designs you are using for your luggage tags, planner, etc. What did you use for the borders of your planning pages in your little binder (the one with Mickey, Minnie, Daisy, Goofy, etc on it)? Was it printed on along with the text? And if so, where did you find the graphics for it? I love it!

I leave in 9 days (almost 8)...so excited!
