An Invasion of a "STRANGER" Kind.... NEW THREAD IS UP!! Go Thee NOW!

I love hot tubs too!! However, my son got follicullitis from being in one not properly treated! It was not pretty!! :sad2:

I've gotten that before too! It was sOOOOOOOOOOOOOO itchy!!!

Hopefully there won't be any repeat performances!

So, I have to ask.... Tracy, where are you in the NE?? Did you know we're putting together a DISMeet in DC??

On Aug. 29 hopefully...

Oh wow, are you? I'm in Albany, NY. About a 7 hour drive away! That would be a lot of fun!

Ok, someone just showed up to see our house- a potential buyer. I'll be back on in a bit... hopefully, you wont' ALL be going to bed... :lmao::lmao::lmao:

Come and gone! This guy has some more cash than the average looker- so we'll see....

I will PM you, Tracy about the Meet...

That's sounds promising...

I will PM you, Tracy about the Meet...

Great - thanks. I'm off to slumberland - I'll be dragging my tush tomorrow to work!!

Wow, four pages os posts during my night... you have all been active!

Liesa, what a shame with the circus. Russian circus is quite famous here, so this could have been quite good. But 18 $ is pretty steep! :scared1: But it sounds like you had fun bowling, too. I hope the birthday kid wasn't too dissappointed.

Your girls seem like very nice young ladies! Sounds like they did a wonderful job supporting their mother on Saturday. :thumbsup2

Been a fun morning, for sure!

It was almost surreal. The chaos these people live with daily is so odd to me! And yet, they make really NO attempt to improve! :confused3

When my neighbor said he was going to buy tickets on Thursday, I should have clued in. The last one we saw was from the Ukraine, and we had no problem walking up and scoring front row seats. Apparently this is in a different class of cirques, so I should have known better..... ah well... live and learn. Zachy had fun bowling, and was a good sport about getting mostly gutter balls.

I'll make his traditional pumpkin pie for dessert tonight and he'll be very happy!

Do I have a BRITISH Accent Ask Jordan an the Cherie's !!! Hint Yes I do!!!!

I married a GI stationed in England and he was from the Falls !! We'v been divorced a few years now !!

Rosie, I can't wait to hear your accent first hand, :goodvibes we're all so blessed by you living here in the states, sorry about the ex though.

Did you know there's an unofficial nickname for that place?? Some call it "The Ditch" ---- once you fall in, it's pretty tough to climb back out...

I don't know if I ever told you this officially, but that place has become my target destination for a cool drink and the TR journal update central. Just sayin....

I've never heard that before. Ha! I guess people really like it there. That or they become glued to their seats from all the booze!

WELCOME, WELCOME, WELCOME!!! :welcome:

There's the gracious host I know!! :goodvibes

It's so great to have you here!! I've seen you on Jordan's thread and noticed you are relatively new the Boards- or at least to posting!! Please don't be shy, we love to yak it up here, and we firmly believe "the more the merrier!"

maroo is pretty witty! You'll love her comments!

Uh! Maroo....what's not to love about Maroo. :cloud9: She's probably one of the sweetest most kind hearted people I know. <big sigh> I just love that girl!

I knew it was TP that you must carry with you....but alas too late to impart the knowledge cuz I just happened to having dinner with Cynthia aka Eandesmom tonight!!!!!

That's right! She's in town! I forgot!! I hope y'all had a great time!

Wow thanks! I didn't even notice! I'm in the big leagues now - I'm a Muskateer!!

Noooooo. Your a MOUSEkateer!! :thumbsup2 :goodvibes

I thought so! You seem like an old pro! ;)

Seriously, it shouldn't take too long to catch up with the links, most of the posts are pretty short. Some are more amusing than others. :rolleyes1

And, like J's thread, you never know WHERE the next topic is going to lead! AND like his, it usually ends up in the crapper- or at least it's getting referred to. All part of the world I live in...

You might even see comments from some crazed woman who gives to much detail about which "girl" restrainers someone should buy for everyone to see, not one of her finest moments. :rolleyes1 I'm not sayin who....

She's meeting everyone but me lately! First Cherie, now you. AH well... If I'm patient enough, maybe we can arrange a mega-meet of the 4 or 5 or 6 of us together. :confused3 You up for a quick trip to the Great NW?

Aren't you planning this before your trip?

Hot tubs and I get along so nicely!!! Turned up WAY hot, with a soft towel waiting...

:cloud9: I would love to be apart of that! :)

I love hot tubs too!! However, my son got follicullitis from being in one not properly treated! It was not pretty!! :sad2:

What in the world is that?!? :confused3 Duh, I'm so silly, I just need to look it up, I do have a computer!

Ok, someone just showed up to see our house- a potential buyer. I'll be back on in a bit... hopefully, you wont' ALL be going to bed... :lmao::lmao::lmao:

<crossing fingers> Hope it sells! :thumbsup2

That's it for me folks.....

I'm calling it a night. Sweet dreams to everyone.

Rosie, I can't wait to hear your accent first hand, :goodvibes we're all so blessed by you living here in the states, sorry about the ex though.

Me either!!

I've never heard that before. Ha! I guess people really like it there. That or they become glued to their seats from all the booze!

I think it's the booze! But apparently, it is really, really nice in there. THe appetizers i hear are superb!

Uh! Maroo....what's not to love about Maroo. :cloud9: She's probably one of the sweetest most kind hearted people I know. <big sigh> I just love that girl!

she's the best!!!! :cloud9:

That's right! She's in town! I forgot!! I hope y'all had a great time!

I hope they're having the grandest time, EVER!!

Aren't you planning this before your trip?

The DC and Germany Meets, YES! The Portland one has to wait until after I get back. Not planning on heading out west until after my trip.

:cloud9: I would love to be apart of that! :)

You certainly CAN be!!! It's just a quick flight.... ;)

What in the world is that?!? :confused3 Duh, I'm so silly, I just need to look it up, I do have a computer!

It's an infection of the hair follicles. VERY itchy, can be painful, and festers in hot tubs.

<crossing fingers> Hope it sells! :thumbsup2

Me too!!

:worship: Thank goodness for your links.

I think I understand what is going on in this huge, monster PTR. Wow a lot of changes but you wouldn't be a DISer without them. I am sad that there might not be any MNSSHP's for you guys. That is crazy.

I hope to try to keep up.

Time for the second half of laying out our Super Secret War Documents! Remember, WAYYYY back when, almost a year and a half ago, we promised that if you proved yourselves faithful and true comrades, we’d slowly, but surely, de-classify all of our best laid plans to you; the time has come and we holding up our end of the bargain. Here we go with the rest of the Strategy of Invasion….

Day 6 left off with watching the EWP on the Poly Beach, drink in hand, whiling away the hours, whilst dipping our toes in the soft, warm sand. Doesn’t that sound lovely??

After a good night’s sleep, and even sleeping in a bit, we’ll mosey over to the much loved Café, called Kona for a 9:15 ADR.

Then we’ll reluctantly check out of the Poly and drive over to the POR and check in there.

After a bit of exploring, and maybe a quick swim, we’ll head to AK

Lunch at Flame Tree

Since this is our AK EMH night, we’ll hang around and tour until then. Remember we were lamenting and even sort of miffed about not having and AK EMH during our planning? Well, one of the upshots of not having an MNSSHP is that they added an EMH for us. I’m sure it was to console our sorry hearts.

This is where things really get fun. We are planning to make an ADR at Hoop for the 9:30 show. Another late night of boy howdy fun for this trio!! Sangria, come to Mama!

Back to bed- another late night.

Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!!

Just talking with someone outside of this has helped me gain some perspective. It's silly how we can give lots of great advice when it's for others, but it's hard for yourself sometimes when your in the thick of it. I guess I shouldn't be so hard on myself, I know that I can't know every situation that will come up. Every person is different and every situation is going to be different. Der!

Thank you for your friendship and for your help.

Links are the only way to control something as big- but every bit as wonderful- of a PTR like this!! I'm trying to take things slow and easy- and methodical, so there's something new all the time. Otherwise, it'd be a dump, rather than a trickle. :goodvibes

:welcome: (again, I think) to this world of madness!

Can you clear your PM some? I typed out my life story and now I can't send it to you.

done.

It went through. :goodvibes Thank you.

yay!! ;)
Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!!

You're so very welcome. I certainly don't have all the answers- only One does, but it is a very good thing to bounce our thoughts off someone else- I'm here, whenever you want someone to talk to.

Hi Liesa, saw your post on my TR, but thought, I'd come here to play... :goodvibes

Day here is good, just back form a wonderful lunch with my sister. I will really miss being able to see her so often! Maybe we will meet tomorrow night to cook some asparagus. Asparagus is a big thing here when it is in season. The season just started last week and goes until St John's day (June 24). So we have to make the most of it, especially since Katharina's DH doesn't like it. Here in Germany we nearly only have the white asparagus, not the green stuff. I love it with Hollandaise!! :cloud9::cloud9::cloud9:

Otherwise, things here are still crazy regarding volcanic ashes... Our chancellor spent the whole weekend travelling back from the US. Her plane landed in Lisbon in Portugal, then went on to Rome from where she got transported by car to Bozen in Northern Italy and then on with helicopter to Berlin. The journalists and other people who were on the plane with her were sent by bus from Rome back to Germany and this bus then had an accident (a tire burst), luckily no one was injured. What a nightmare for so many people who are stuck somewhere and can't get home. I just read that the British government is considering to send an airplane carrier to Spain to collect the Brits stranded there. :scared1:
