An Invasion of a "STRANGER" Kind.... NEW THREAD IS UP!! Go Thee NOW!

Noooooo. Your a MOUSEkateer!! :thumbsup2 :goodvibes

:yay:

Day 6 left off with watching the EWP on the Poly Beach, drink in hand, whiling away the hours, whilst dipping our toes in the soft, warm sand. Doesn’t that sound lovely??

Sounds like heaven!!

After a good night’s sleep, and even sleeping in a bit, we’ll mosey over to the much loved Café, called Kona for a 9:15 ADR.

This is where things really get fun. We are planning to make an ADR at Hoop for the 9:30 show. Another late night of boy howdy fun for this trio!! Sangria, come to Mama!

You are all going to have a blast!

Back to bed- another late night.

Just talking with someone outside of this has helped me gain some perspective. It's silly how we can give lots of great advice when it's for others, but it's hard for yourself sometimes when your in the thick of it.

That's so true!

I will be in Albany at a self advocacy conference in October !! When I have details maybe you can visit me !! I can't leave as am rsponsible for all the consumers !!!

:banana: That's so exciting! I would love to meet up with you! Just let me know when you have the details and we'll make some plans!

everyone sure has been chatty! I like the new game, but I hate waiting until September (or later) for answers. I am not a very patient person you know. But anyway, I will be back at some point with answers. I need to think about it. :scratchin

HA!! It'll be fun- Fun for you AND for me!

But believe it or not, since this is party central, I have yet ONE more game planned for before I go. ;)

Not likely.

Exactly!

I don't know what I'm saying! It's more than "illusion", but yet it is like using a frying pan. Judy uses it for hamburgers, I think she likes that they're not just sitting down in the grease. You can also get a grill press, which is a heavy metal plate with similar ridges and with a handle. You put it on the food to press it down. You can use it to make panini's (no single-use tools/machines!) and things like that, but she uses it just with hamburgers to hold the heat in and help them cook faster.

The grill basket on the barbecue is the way to go though!

I like the idea of my good not sitting in the grease!! And I like the idea of having one thing multi-function!

So I imagine you have to wait until you get your tickets IN HAND before knowing about your ticket snafu?? Your reward may be not so much. :confused3

The game loos cool. I'll hopefully play along soon. Been a crazy 5 weeks here. I thought we were going to catch a break until I heard we have plans AGAIN this Sat. :headache:

Sounds crazy, GB!! Sounds like you need a couch potato sort of day. Hey, did you get my PM??

Take it easy GB!

Here, here!

:banana: That's so exciting! I would love to meet up with you! Just let me know when you have the details and we'll make some plans!

Sorry, forgot to PM you yesterday... will get to that today.

Wanted to just pass along a small little step forward in my bringing things together for my trip- which actually may impact some of YOUR plans as well...

I managed to talk my DH into making Sunday, August 29th the day we part ways for the beginning my solo time.

I purchased my ticket for flying from Nashville to Baltimore early Sunday morning and will land around 11:00 that morning.

Not knowing the area very well, I'm not sure how long it would take me to get over to the West or East Falls Church Metro Station to meet up with y'all for a lunch date, so anyone who's in the know about that area I'd love your input and help putting this whole gig together. The DC Meet, that is.

I'm not sure if it would be on anyone's way to pick me up at the airport in Baltimore???? But if so, that'd save me some time and a whole lotta dough!!! Please PM me if this might work for you.

Otherwise, I could have my sister pick me up (she says it's an hour from her house in McLean), but having to make her spend the day with a big group of folks she doesn't know might be kinda weird... :confused3

For those of you who've said to keep you "in the loop" there ya go.

Feedback?? Comments? Ideas? Let's get some concrete stuff going guys!!! I can't wait to meet you all!!!!

Good Morning Liesa! I finally get around to comment on your DAy 7 which looks just as fabulous as the previous days! Breakfast at Kona (I loved those macadamia nut pancakes!), lunch at Flametree and a day and evening at AK: sounds like my kind of day! :cloud9:

On the question of white asparagus being softer: It is softer once it is cooked, but it takes much longer to cook. That's why I think grilling would not work that well.

Hey, Good Morning!! I hope this day is relatively relaxing! Just wandering the trails, picking up a few snacks along the way, watching the animals, etc.... sounds heavenly.

I"m pretty sure that's what I'll end up with. Last night was Zachy's birthday, and I made banana cream pies for him. In my opinion that was a 3 strikes, you're out sort of dessert!!! Bananas + Pudding + pie crust= BLECKO!!!! I did, I gave it an honest college effort, but just couldn't it!! So Tonga Toast is O.U.T.

So, you just normally steam yours??

Hi Liesa

If heading to DC, passing by BWI would be a definite "along the way" jaunt. Not sure if anyone else has offered yet but I'd look forward to the travel from Baltimore to DC with you ... and I'm hoping to check in with any other Pennsylvanians to see about a connection (I think GlennBo's from York - which would also be "on my way").

I know there are some super fun places to hang together outside DC at National Harbor - but not certain what everyone else will be into??

Oh - and my guesses are forthcoming :thumbsup2

That's all I have to say about that!

MMMMMMMMMMMM One of my favorite meals! Have you decided what you want to eat here yet??? Big Kahuna? Macadamia nut pancakes?

Then we’ll reluctantly check out of the Poly and drive over to the POR and check in there.
:sad1: :sad1:
I'm sure POR will treat you right! :goodvibes

Lunch at Flame Tree
Love this place! ::yes::

I know you guys will enjoy Hoop. I think with the 9:30 show you can get cat 1 seating. I think??? Not sure what resorts share a bus with POR but I know it isn't the POP, CBR, Epcot resorts. You can thank God for that!

1) Macadamia nuts! I can get eggs and bacon any day of the year...

2) I'm sure they will- it's Disney! I'd be happy sleeping on a cardboard box in the bushes at All Stars Music.

3) I was looking at Hoop prices earlier- it's only a $10 diff. between Cat. 3 and 1 and only $5 between 2 and 1. I need to ask mary what to do. I think we can use her TWI discount on it if we go to the 9:30 show.

POR is so wonderful! I'm sure the Poly is wonderful and all, but the grounds at POR can't be beat IMO. :thumbsup2

Yay for an ADR at HDD! :cool1: We had category 1 seating when we ate there and my dad ended up getting chosen to be in the final show. Let's just say I don't think I've laughed as hard since his stage debut. :rotfl:

We had Cat. 1 too, and it was a total blast!! So funny and fun! We got asked where we were from, you know the part where they make up a song about it?? They were TOTALLY stumped!! It was so funny; I mean not much rhymes with Blankistan!! :lmao::lmao::lmao:

What part did your dad play??

Very true!! I'd sleep on a bus if I had to. :goodvibes

When paying for just 1, I'd splurge for cat1. It's when you have to pay for a whole family that the $10 X 4 adds up quick. I think Maroo's TIW will give you a discount at that time of year. TIW states the discount is at the 9:30 showing, seasonally. :surfweb:

Classic!!!!! :lmao::lmao::lmao:

That must of been a great night!!!! :rotfl2::rotfl2:

DO you ever let your dad forget this???? LOLOLOL

It was a great night! My stepmother and I had tears rolling down our faces. :rotfl: That was one of those trips where he got picked for everything. We were at Epcot the next day and he was chosen to be the king in a skit (that's the picture for my TR link for our 2nd trip).

There's no problem in having your sister come along! After all, none of us really know each other. At least, not until we all get together. Sorry to say that Baltimore is probably not on my way down from Canada ;)

VERY FUNNY!!!!! :lmao::lmao:

Thanks!!! You saved me some time!

I think you're right, but I'll run it by here right now!

I would have been rolling too! That looked totally hilarious! And you had more fun that this!

Tis OK, you're coming from the furthest, so you get a pass :goodvibes I"m really looking forward to getting to know all you "better". Sometimes I feel like I've known some of you for a long time! :rotfl:

PMing you...

Hey Bushes are MY Domain!!!!:rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

I actually thought you, Rosie when I wrote that!! :lmao:

Finally, I'm caught up. Always so much chattiness going on around here. I've got to come up with some good guesses now. :)
