An elf, a suprise and a Christmas Do-over....Our Dec. 2010 PTR

Here is what the kids woke up to this morning:

I guess that elf has a sweet tooth and he made quite a snack out of some of the Halloween candy.

Today's clues were a "frog" bowl for Caleb and a "butterfly" bowl for Payton.

Here is a picture of Caleb with Patches. Don't pay attention to his mismatched pj's.

Absolutely LOVE the way you're planning to surprise your kids! I can't even image waking up thinking it's a normal day and then find that afternoon you're headed to Disney. Brilliant!

Thank you everyone for sharing my fun with Patches.

This morning the kids woke up and could not find him. We leave him in his chair every night and Caleb said "where did that boy go?"

Anyway the kids finally found him....sleeping in Tyler's bed with a little friend. Here they are:

Do you recognize his friend? He is the Yeti from Expedition Everest. He is magnetic and usually hangs out on the fridge in the kitchen. In this house he is known as my boyfriend. Of course when my mom asked Caleb where Patches was this morning he said "sleeping in Tyler's bed with mom's boyfriend". The kid was on a roll today and I might have some explaining to do when my husband gets home from training on Wednesday.

Their gifts today were a pair of "zebra" socks for Payton and a "Choo-Choo Train" paint with water for Caleb.

Oh and we will be at POR 25 days from now!!!!

He was a riot!! The things that come out of kids mouths!!

This morning we woke to find that Patches was holding a firetruck parade. Here is the fun he had:

Caleb was giddy and was totally giggling when he found him. Here is a picture when Caleb decided to join in:

In the front of the firetruck was some chocolate "gold coins" for the two of them. Before I knew it, there were eating them for breakfast!!

Ken has been away at training and has given the kids a really hard time about him being here. I have a feeling that once he is back home I have an elf that is going to be pretty naughty.....at least once!

What will tonight bring??

I would love for you to share anything that you think would help for the party. Of course the colors will be red, white and black. I have decided to borrow my sister in law's chocolate fountain, and plan on suprising Payton and friends with a candy buffet...of course in the colors.

I am SO sorry...I completely missed this post! I got pretty sick towards the end of October and then we've been having some issues with the family we're going on vacation with...with all that I have been trying to keep up but not doing a very good job so I just didn't even see this :/ If you are still in need of any of the printables or anything for the party (drink labels, photo-quotes, etc), send me a PM with your e-mail and I will send those to you asap!

I feel like I have neglected everyone, but Tyler arrived home on November 11th and we have tried to spend as much time with him as possible. It has not been easy though because he would rather be with his friends than his family. We are making the best of it and he and Ken were able to spend 3 days in New York City. Tyler brought me home a stuffed Minnie Mouse in her Christmas nightgown and slippers from the new Disney Store in Times Square. He could not have picked anything more perfect for me.

Here is one of my favorite pictures taken on the day that Tyler came home. It is of Tyler and Caleb together.

Patches has been busy so here are a few pictures of his antics:

Caleb looks forward to waking up every morning to see what Patches has brought for him.

We ordered our tickest for MVMCP on the 9th and are looking forward to that. Everything is taken care of and next Saturday will be here before we know it! I can't wait until the kids find out about the trip!! They still have no idea and I hope that no one lets it slip this weekend at Thanksgiving dinner today or at Payton's birthday party being held on Saturday.

I am going shopping with my sister-in-law tonight!! We are heading out at midight and will get home sometime tomorrow. Seriously, though we go out every Black Friday together and I am really looking forward to it.

We are not telling the kids until next Saturday, the day that we leave. I cannot wait until they find out what is going on!

I am working on my list for shopping and am looking forward to spending the time with my sister-in-law. We go every year.

Hey Trish, I think everyone on here agrees that spending time with your son is MUCH more important then a PTR!!! Glad to here all is well! I finally get to tell Devon today that we are going to Disney! I can't wait! I really think he has NO CLUE at all!!!

Happy Thanksgiving! I will be heading out tonight for Black Friday as well!!! It is one of my favorite times of the year!!!

Love your clues...our elf is bringing a BIG box full of surprises --- the reveal is scheduled for Saturday 11/27, with the trip beginning on 12/3. I'm excited and nervous! If you get a chance, you can peek at my PTR (link in sig). I dont have many followers, but I have some fun photos about our surprise -- and will definitely be adding more after Saturday's big SuRpRiSe!!

Tyler't time home with us has gone by so fast. Tuesday when we put him on that plane back to base is going to be very difficult for me...wait the next year is going to be difficult. It is so hard to fathom that my son will be fighting a war in Afghanistan. I have made the best of every second of our time with him.

I did very well shopping yesterday!
