I nearly had heart failure when I checked my email - I had an email from the Disney Store. I got SO excited when I saw "Disney" in the subject line...then opened the email and saw that it was just a reminder that I have an item in my cart at the website. See what a pin code thread will do to a person?

If you don't mind sharing the quotes they gave you for tickets and accommodations there are many people on here that can figure it out I bet.

OP, were you including the price of the tickets when you determined the % off? If so, could you take the total given and subtract what the total full ticket price would be and then give us the % off you got?

I have a feeling that this is a room discount that will be given if you make the reservation a package by purchasing tickets with your reservation instead of separate. It would be one way of increasing package sales over room only sales where people are purchasing the tickets at discounts from vendors such as UT.

This way when people are trying to determine what this discount will save them if they get it, they may have an ideal of how to determine the discount by taking the % off fro the 5 nights of stay and then adding the 6 day park ticket price.

This sounds similar to a pin I got in 2009. It was 40% off a room anytime from June - Dec. 31 but there were no blackout dates. We used it for Christmas since I knew we would never get a discount then. No email for it though, I just called to check for discounts.

So if I take out the tickets for the theme parks, our room at POFQ for June 8-15 comes out to $1115. According to trying to reserve the same room at POFQ for those same dates online, it comes out to $1530. That's a savings of 27.1%.

For AKL, without tickets it is $1879.89. Those same rooms at AKL for the same dates online is $2638. That's a savings of 28.7 %.

This is how I figured it all out. Not sure what discount that makes it or how it actually works but I know I had to buy tickets AND get a room to get discount.

me too!! I was pricing 2012 and playing with the videos. The videos ask what time of year you're interested in. I put fall (meaning 2012) and the next day I got a pin for this fall. Hoping that one code = more codes.

Got the holiday 2011 pin...oddly enough it was sent to my old email address with my maiden name when Im positive I had updated my WDW profile with my new email and married name. Weird.
