An AK and Barber Shop Question

My trip first of February on Tuesday 2nd, I'm spending a day solo at Animal Kingdom. I have a pretty detailed plan to hit all the big things, but after the 1 o'clock showing of The Lion King, I want to Head over to Animal Kingdom Lodge to trade with King Pin, He trades from 2 to 3 these days. Its my first time trying the pin trading thing, and I heard he is really worth it, and I do want to see the Lodge, the only resort I'm not staying at that I want to at least look at, and maybe do a QS option.

The Problem is I don't want to take too much time away from the park it self. If I leave right after the 1 O'clock Lion King, say 1:30 ish its a 30 minute show, could I get to the lodge and be back by 3:00? Or is this an unrealistic time table? Seeing the lodge in depth and eating there are optional, I really want to trade with King Pin and be back to AK by 3:00 is the priority. Will be Taking Disney transportation, but not sure if there is some kind of trick to quickly get from AK to AKL quicly or if the buses are my best bet?

Also, I figured one thread two stones, thinking about maybe getting a hair cut at the Barber shop in MK one of the days I'm there. Do they do shaves there or only hair cuts? and what are the prices like, how much should you tip, and overall is getting a hair cut there worth the expierience? Will be Solo that day as well.

Found the answer to the shave question but you could use some help with the AK/AKL question

If I leave right after the 1 O'clock Lion King, say 1:30 ish-

1. could I get to the lodge and be back by 3:00?
2. I really want to trade with King Pin and be back to AK by 3:00 is the priority.

1. 3:30-4:00 is more realistic.
2. 3:30-4:00 is more doable.

You think it will take two plus hours to get to the lodge and get back? Even if all I do is trade with king pin and leave immediately?

It's always a safe bet that Disney Transportation will take long-- up to an hour in each direction ( you may have to wait 20 mins or more for a bus to come). That said, a Disney vacation is about more than theme parks. If you want to trade with King Pin and see the lodge, make it happen. Get to AK right at rope drop and stay until close, and you should be able to do everything worth doing. One tip for seeing more is that you can get into a long line like EE minutes before park close, even if you're in line for an hour after park close, you'll still get to ride.

I see that you got an answer to your barber shop question. I don't think they have water in the shop, which honestly makes it more for kids' haircuts.

It does not usually take an hour from AK to the Lodge even if you wait 20 minutes for a bus. Everywhere else that is a good rule of thumb, but AKL busses don't have that far to go. You could take a cab too, if time was a big factor. It is maybe 5 minutes away.

If you REALLY want to do the pin trading, AND have a few minutes to explore AKL ( a totally worthwhile thing to do IMO), use a taxi. It won't cost that much and will only take 10 minutes or so each way.

I didn't know that Taxi's were operated on site at all. I guess it makes sense just didn't think most people would use them. I assume they are just regular cabbies unaffiliated with Disney?

Taxis and Uber, neither affiliated with WDW.
