It was "You'll Never Walk Alone" from the musical Carousel. It is one of my favorite songs.

I can't believe the Frisbee dog went thru. It was almost as though they are weeding out competition for their favs. If you go by talent, the singer/piano player had real talent to build a show around. The dog is fantastic, but I don't want to pay lots of money for a ticket to see a dog fly for 90 minutes.

I don't remember seeing the acts so polished so early in the competition. Is it me or are they doing something different this year? Adding dancers and smoke and fire and all that. Did they do that last year too? So far no one catches my enough to pick anyone.

I have to totally disagree. Thea, while having a nice voice, sounds like many other girls that age. She was flat a good deal of the time on her last performance. She is just one of many with a descent, but certainly not incredible voice.

Arcadian, on the other hand, is an amazing dancer. I can only imagine how incredible he will be if he is given the right type of training. I think he could be another Baryshnikov given the opportunity to learn from the right people.

Of the acts that have made it through so far, only a few of them have any real chance at winning, IMO. Charlie or Toby, doesn't matter which one the put through, neither one is going to win.

After Idol was over for the season I really looked forward to watching AGT. I always worked 2nd shift so never got to see any of these shows. I have to say AGT has been a disapointment to me.

The comediene Grandma is funny, and the chicken farmer is charming, so I wasn't surprised they made it.

Grandma is funny, but I don't think she will be able to maintain a show in Vegas. It would be too demanding.

The chicken farmer has a certain country charm, but the guy can't sing. He is off tune half the time. I know tons of people who sing much better than he can. I'd never pay to see him.

DH and I totally agree! He does sing with emotion but that's about it. I was very disappointed that acrodunk did not go through. I also wanted to see the frisbee dog move on basically because I like the dog and his story and the man was fired (or had to resign his job) because of the time he had been away (I realize that is not a reason to move on in a million dollar competition, but it's my reason ). I think Grandma Lee is sweet and funny, but agree with maybe not being able to maintain a Vegas show. I do like the tap dancers and Voices of Glory, but I thought acrodunk was much more entertaining.

I'm going to have to swear off of these type shows. It just raises my blood pressure. I cannot believe that the chicken catcher guy is in the final two. He can't carry a tune. I can sing better than he can and I can play the guitar also. I think they should rename the show to America Has No Taste In Talent. ARGH!

I agree, Feralpeg, but I fear he might make it since he is still on stage. There are probably more people that like his style than opera.

I loved watching the opera singer in the opening song. She was rockin'! If she had done something similar on one of her numbers, she would have had a broader following. I also don't care for it when they don't do a new number for the finals. That could have been Susan Boyle's Achilles heel.

Man, I don't get it! The judges seemed to love him. Maybe he sounds better live. I wouldn't pay to see him. While I don't think opera would have gone over well in a Vegas show, she is so much more talented.

IMHO, Recycled Percussion would have been the best for a Vegas show.
