I agree. I like the new save, but I think they probably should have saved it just in case. I'm thinking Adam and Danny must be getting lots of votes each week, so they must not think they are going to need it for them. Those two seem to be the judge favorites.

It is funny to me that they use Jennifer as an example of a shocking early vote out. When she was on the show Simon didn't seem to like her very much. I even remember him calling her performance manic at one point. I think they had NO IDEA of the star she would become. My guess is that they wouldn't have used the save on her.

I like the fact that the save was used this week. This will eliminate the two weakest singers (Anoop, Lil, Matt) next week. That fact that two will be eliminated should have people step up their game.

At this point, no one has the type of ability Adam does. Sure they have skills, but are limited (Lil-- I'm talking to you!).

Kris is a strong contender, even stronger than Danny in many ways but he still won't beat Adam. Dany started off strong and fizzled away to the Sally Jessy Rapaheal eyeglass island of obscurity. Anoop while a nice voice lacks strength to contend with more experienced singers. Alison has some strong moments and is more willing to take risks more than most of the other performers. (Adam takes more risks than her though). Matt is interesting and it can be seen that the judges want another Justin Timberlake and Harry Connick Jr. morph project. Lil is there because the judges want another R & B representation and she isn't giving it.

He's not my fave either, but I do see his appeal. The faces me makes while singing turns me off like the shriek haters... I like him better when I just LISTEN to him.

I don't remember when the top 7 was THIS unbalanced!

If I recall correctly, I think the shock was when LaToya got voted out, not JHudson.

They were not too hot on Jennifer at all. I think it was more shocking to the audience.

and I truely don't get the hoopla over Danny. I think without his back story he wouldn't have made it this far and I really don't get why the judges are so fond of him.

Speaking of Simon picking songs, I wonder what they will do this year. Generally at the top three a judge picks one song for each singer. Will they do that a week early this year? Cut out one judge? Pick the three judges choice songs by committee?

I agree Adam is to Broadway I have seen them in the past for critizing people for being to Broadway

Adam would be great on Broadway, but I think he would also be a successful singer. I downloaded his video of Mad World and am too embarrassed to say how many times I have played it. It he came out with an album with similar music, I would buy it.

I also think he would be great as the lead in a remake of Rocky Horror. I would love to see something like that happen. It would be a huge hit with the right cast.

My husband and son don't like him, so those of you who don't are not alone. I am the lone person in my house cheering for him. They are a bit more conservative than I am though, so maybe they are judging him on his appearance. Once Adam sang the offbeat version of Ring of Fire, my husband and son were horrified.

So agree. I was an Adam fan until like a PP mentioned the offbeat version of ring of fire (which is an actual version, he did not come up with it). Did not like it and since then, I have been liking him less and less! Ya know he would be great in a broadway production of Sweeney Todd.

Not sure of the conflict here. People on Broadway are amazing. Why do being on Broadway and making records need to be mutually exclusive? What seems to be happening on the music front is that artists are becoming more creative performers and their concerts are becoming more theatrical. I can see Adam fitting into this new wave very well. Lady Gaga is HUGE right now. It is a new trend that seems to be building up steam very quickly.

It's really not that new at all.

Elvis and James Brown were WELL known for their entertainment quality. Anyone who ever saw Earth Wind and Fire perform would see theatrics like you wouldn't believe. Freddie Mercury put on a show that can blow your mind and good Lord, PRINCE? I just went as far as the 80s!

I personally ONLY go to a show where I'll be entertained. I love a performer, not just a singer.
