Even funnier than that is the link right under the picture "Adam Lambert: David Cook's Ex?"

The resemblance is uncanny.

I think he'd have a chance regardless, as long as he has fans. I don't like Chris, but Daughtry has a new album coming out this spring and he didn't win. Same for Jennifer Hudson, I'm not a fan of hers either but her music's on the radio whereas Ruben, Fantasia, Taylor, and Jordin are nowhere to be foundEither way, I hope DC does release new stuff! I still like the guy and would love to hear him release something that wasn't a cookie-cutter creation from the producers.
I just saw you added about Jason. He has a new album coming out later this year. Will it be a huge hit? Who knows, but at least he'll be able to create the kind of album he wants rather than having it up to the clueless pop producers.
They all have albums coming out later. Ever loser does but none are successful. Jordin, btw, is all over the place. She just did performances with John Mayer. She been way more successful than anyone else in her year.
I bet the idols would rather put out a first album that isn't quite to their taste and have it sell quite well than put an album out that is to their taste and have it not sell well. At least the ones that sell get a second chance.
I haven't seen or heard of Jordin anywhere around here since the beginning of last yearShe doesn't get airplay here at all and I never hear anything about her. Maybe it's cause she's on tour?
I don't know, I guess a lot of them would rather release stuff they have no say over and have it sell than otherwise, but that's what I hate about American Idol. I like when music's real - when it was written and created by people who actually care about it. I like when music's personal, creative and tells you something about the artist. Anyone who says they want to be a musician just to have random producers pull the strings and create a cookie-cutter album that'll sell, shouldn't be a musician to begin with. That's not real music, that's selling outWhich is exactly why so many people don't take American Idol seriously. It's not musicians handcrafting their music to create something personal and meaningful (even if it's just fun music) and doing whatever it takes to get it out there - it's clueless producers deciding what the public should and shouldn't like and then just handing someone a strict contract. I guess that's also why I watch the show for what it is - an entertaining reality show, but then don't follow up with the contestant's music afterward.
I bet the idols would rather put out a first album that isn't quite to their taste and have it sell quite well than put an album out that is to their taste and have it not sell well. At least the ones that sell get a second chance.
It's April Fool's Day..think Ryan Seacrest or the judges will play into that tonight with the results?
It is so hard to make it in the music business. Look at all the talent on myspace that just don't seem to be going anywhere. I think contestants figure that Idol may be their best shot even if they have to sell out for a while.
That is exactly what I have been saying about Adam. Much as I don't like him, I admit he is really talented. If he wins this competition he will be forced to put out a radio friendly album. I am willing to bet that is not the type of music he want to sing and I know that it is NOT what his fans want to hear.
I do think that the music that he has written is quite radio friendly (Pop goes the camera for example) and would easily fit on an album. I think he would work quite well as an idol winner.
Lil is 25?????!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I would have never, ever, ever, EVER guessed she was that young. I know you can only be a certain age on the show but I thought she was way older. She has such an old-fashioned persona.
Tidbit: I used to work with Adam's dad Eber Lambert in San Diego. Eber's got an ear for music and plays guitar. He was one of the early employees of Qualcomm and is likely rich and retired, so he's got plenty of time to attend the AI shows.
They all have albums coming out later. Every loser does but few are successful. Jordin, btw, is all over the place. She just did performances with John Mayer and isn't she going to tour with the Jonas Brothers? She's been way more successful than anyone else in her year. Ruben and Fantastia have done well in their markets. They stuck to what they wanted to do and it isn't the type of music that gets played on main stream radio but they have had more success than others in their years.
