Why do they like David A? Just curious as I can't imagine his songs would appeal to that age group.

Oh I hope you are not serious?? Nasty dread-lock dude is a terrible singer!!!!!!!! I can't see why people even vote for him. I watch with my wife, but I am going to boycott the rest of the season because he is still there. I mean come on, he frickin sang a song playing a uhkalale(sp?)!!!!

The problem is is that American Idol has now become a popularity contest instead of a singing contest. There is no way that dread-lock dude is one of the four best singers from the pool they started with.

I disagree. There is such a way. He's run out of steam, no question, and perhaps Carly was better than him, and maybe Brooke as well, but no voting system is perfect, so it makes sense that he'd come in anywhere from 3rd to 6th -- he's surely good enough to warrant ending up somewhere in that range.

I am the opposite. I can't wait for Jason to go. If David Cook is voted off before the finale I will have no one left to watch.

I felt bad for brooke. She really took it hard, but when it came down to her and Syesha I knew Brooke was going. She just seems like a great person.

I will watch next week, anything is better then Neil Diamond. Elvis week also kills me. With the core group of people watching being young I don't know why they pick old singers to have as mentors or dead people.

You know...I just don't think he is that cute. I'm 24 and I still find certain younger people attractive (like Zac Efron is ok, and Shia LaBeaof, sp??), but David A. is just kind of creepy to me. I do think he has a great voice though and that goes a long way...maybe it is just that age group's lack of other viable options??? I dunno....

The beautiful thing about music in general is that there is something for everyone. Once you kind of realize that, shows like AI become a little more pleasant to watch.

He has a really pleasant voice, but his style probably doesn't appeal to a lot of people. I'm not a fan of (modern) country, but I'm not prepared to say that any of those singer "suck" ...out of respect for those who DO prefer that musical style.

You don't like Jason, that's cool. I'd just tone it down a little 'cause you're not going to change anybody else's mind.

I agree with you on that, he did a beautiful job with that song. I'm not a Jason fan at all, but I have to give him credit on that one.

I agree with Bicker - Jason did that version of Somewhere over the Rainbow spot on. I just love that song played that way. And for him to have just picked up a ukealele and be able to play it after less than a week is amazing. I think Jason has a wonderful on his original songs (found them at daydreamingboy.com) .

Granted he is not everyone's style but he is some people's style - so caa1277 in your opinion he sucks but to lots of other people he doesn't. Curious to see who you think is a the best singer on the show and please don't say David A. because to me he is (couldn't find a gagging smilie) Also just because someone has dreadlocks (or looks different from you) doesn't mean that they are nasty. From what I hear he is a very nice kid (and haven't heard any comments that he smells or anything
