American Idol Thread

I don't know how many here go to the official American Idol forums, but the teenage girls on there and their love for David A is a little nauseating. Does anyone else agree? The kid is good but not the best.

This is exactly why I think he'll end up in the finals. He has a great voice, but I just don't see where his place will be in today's music genres.

Last night my husband said he didn't like his voice; he said he sounded nasally. To me he sounds exactly like he talks!

I have a teenager at home, that's enough for me!!

I'm glad somebody finally stepped up and started this thread, thank you, thank you, THANK YOU!!

I got slammed for telling how I felt about that "official" thread having so much off-topic chatter going on, so this is going to be great to have a thread devoted just for Idol chatting!!

I was very happy to see Ramiele go home last night, I wanted her to go home a couple of weeks ago. I hated seeing Chikezie go before her!! I was sad to see Brooke in the bottom 3 though, I never thought she would win the competition but I don't want to see her go home yet.

And I know not many of you like Kristy Lee, but I have always liked her and I think she has improved since she started so I'm glad to see her still there. I feel sorry for her being in the bottom 3 all the time.

I still love David Cook and Michael Johns , it's hard for me to choose which one of the two I want to win. Either one, I'd be happy!

Oh I don't know about that... I ventured over to the Idol Forums to check out the David Cook threads and the things people were saying were really sad These people act like they're either the guy's long lost lover or that they're a part of his family. It's one thing to say "Holy crap, he's hot and I love his voice!" rotfl but it's a completely different story for people to say that they'd die if he had a girlfriend or to talk about his mom and siblings like they've been friends forever.

Here was one of the posts made when people found out David was sick on Tuesday night... "At least you got some sleep. I didn't sleep at all. All I could do was post and cry, post and cry, all night long, then drink about a gallon of coffee just so I could go about my other business this morning." Sure I felt bad and I really hoped he was OK but That's TOO MUCH!

Danny! I thought it looked like Danny at first too LOL. I am NOT a fan of dreadlocks at all, and when they put Jason in the top 24, I was not pleased. Until he sang "Daydream". Then I was hooked!!!

An AI winner that appeals to teenage girls may just be successful. We know that many of the contestants that appeal to a more mature audience didn't do well. I think we all expected Bo Bice to do a lot better than he did, as well as Taylor Hicks and Ruben. Maybe a much younger male winner will be more popular and profitable.

Me too! I hope they keep it up. I had not heard about Bo being sick. I'm so glad he is OK. He was one of my favorites. I tend to fall for the rockers.

At one point Bo was blogging from his hospital room. He even showed off his scar!
