I'm alittle upset that Paula is gone but I'm sure I'll still enjoy watching the show. Next year it may get alittle bad without Simon. I honestly don't see the show lasting too long once he leaves

It will continue. It won't be the same, but it'll still be good I think.

...I think the ratings dropped off a bit last year, and now with Simon leaving, it'll be like 'the kiss of death'...

The show is aging. Yes, it is losing audience. That doesn't mean Simon's departure translates to kiss of death.

Don't get me wrong: The show won't last forever. However, it probably will still have a couple of good years left after Simon.

What I love about Idol is that it helps me journey through the long, dark winter. I always sit, watching these auditions thinking that by the time we have a winner, we'll be knocking on the door of SUMMERTIME!

I actually don't know whether I'll be able to watch the show without Simon (I LOOOOVE Simon!) But I also don't know whether I could survive a PA winter without AI. It's been so long since I've tried!
