Elliot looks great! I can't help but wonder if he had a little more than a makeover...maybe a little work done? Though I can't pinpoint anything (he's looking down) the change is just so dramatic. Maybe he had his teeth fixed and it changed the shape of his jaw? Whatever he did, it sure paid off!

I think I read that he had work done on his teeth finally...something he always wanted to do but couldn't afford. Depending on what they did it could have changed his bite too.

His voice was smooth and I could hear him doing the old standards..but not current music.

BTW, I really disliked Fantasia too...everything she did or said rubbed me the wrong way...and I think it was just the fact that she was really mouthy to Simon that got me feeling that way. I also don't like her voice at all, reminds me of Macy Grays...and that one's voice sends me over the edge....

he was on the TV Guide channel a few weeks ago and said he got his teeth fixed. he also seemed a little weird, but hey whatever floats his boat. not "bad" weird, just "different" weird. more quiet and reserved.

anyway, i found it quite funny how the judges hated Constantine's version of Bohemian Rhapsody, but they loved Kellie Picklers......considering it was the same darn thing.

I can say Chris Daughtry sucks--but I do know why he sucks to "me". It isn't him..it is the songs he sings. I don't like the songs. His voice though--I do like. Won't ever buy an album or listen to his music though as it is a genre that I don't care for personally.

this coming from a "Rock" girl, i LOVE my rock and roll! when he was in the top 24, i thought "hey, he's not too bad!" and then once it got down to 12 he started getting this huge ego that just made me sit back and say "wait a minute there, buddy. you're on American Idol, you're not the Queen of England! tone it down!" and then he started to whine his songs, instead of singing them. like Simon told Sundace the other day, Chris started singing thru his nose a lot, or just plain screamed. and yeah, i said i'm a rock fan, but i don't like screaming, thanks. i like actual singing.

of to rephrase my Eliott and Fantasia stink comments..

I have not liked any version of any song that either of them have performed....therefore I thought they stunk....ok

you know, i wasn't much of an Elliott fan when he was on AI, either. none of the songs he ever chose did much for me. even when he sang one of my favorite Queen songs "Somebody to Love" (which, i will still say it to this day, i think Ace should have sang, since he had the falsetto voice that would have nailed it, instead of that awful WWRY...that showed nothing of his voice) i still didn't really enjoy him.

but i went to the AI concert last year and Chris(bleh) started to sing Nickelback's "Savin' Me" and Elliott came out and did it as a duet with him and i was blown away. he totally outshined Chris while singing that song, it was pretty friggen awesome! i thought that if maybe he sang songs like that, i would probably enjoy his singing more.

dont say anything negative.....dont say anything negative....... .....anyway....like I said earlier there was one performance last season I really liked from Elliott and I even commented on it in last years thread but I dont remember which one it was...I never cared for any of Fantasia's...that being said I dont agree with any of these...Taylors performance last season of Levon was amazing to me and perhaps my favorite out of all contestants....Rubeun was so long ago i cant for the life of me remember any song he sang....I also loved Kat's Performance of Black horse and a Cherry tree or whatever it was called....but I couldnt go rate every performance from all seasons as I can barely remember what any of them sang last season....

EW...what are they basing this on....just there opinion...which i doubt you will get anyone to be in total agreement with because we each have our own favorites....

you JUST figured that out?? i can't stand EW half the time with some of the things they say. they base things soley on their opinions and nothing else. drives me crazy.

have to agree with this persons blog about season 3...Mrs. Hudson should have won this season

Season three was overall very unimpressive, especially the contestants. Half of the Top 12 was composed of underexperienced teenagers who were so nervous that their voices often faltered when they sang. And unlike the previous season, in which I was torn between Aiken and Studdard, I didn't care at all about the eventual Top 2. I didn't like either of them.

Diana DeGarmo was a cute little 16-year-old who was nearly booted from the show several times. Fantasia Barrino, a sassy 19-year-old Macy Gray soundalike, milked her sob story of being a single mother for all it was worth, helping her win the Idol crown.

Actually, the greatest thing about Idol Season 3 had nothing to do with either the winner or runner-up. In one particularly shocking results episode, crowd favorite Jennifer Hudson was booted very early, while the less talented and experienced teenage contestants remained. This departure from the show proved to be one of the greatest things to ever happen for Hudson, for as we all know, she later landed the coveted role of Effie White in a movie called Dreamgirls. Dreamgirls is a blockbuster hit, and Hudson is nominated for a Goldern Globe Award for Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Supporting Role. Not bad for an Idol loser.

I don't agree with most of EW's picks for top 10 songs, but do agree that Fantasia's first performance of "Summertime" deserved to be up near the top. My list would also share Bo's version of "In a Dream"...and that is it. As for credibility...I would argue that any list that doesn't include Clay singing "Bridge Over Troubled Water" on the "final two" night has none. He was good singing "Solitaire"...but he was great singing "Bridge".

Every year, there have been at least one or two "WOW!" performances. The only finalists I can't remember giving at least one were Justin Guarini (possibly because of how long ago that was), Ruben (BORING!), and Diana DeGarmo (just don't like her voice). I'd say 70% isn't too bad.

Well out of this list there is only 4 that I like and only 2 that I really liked. The rest were like so so to me. Isn't it great that we all get to have such different tastes in music? Otherwise only 1 person would ever sell cd's and we'd only have 1 readio station and only 1 video channel (whcih would be pretty boring showing the same video over and over again

Chris's Dead or Alive was way better than Hemmorhage (IMO). I have his album and am a big fan. He was truly the most talented of the season but I am happy he didn't win. He can do his own thing now and not have to put out pop crap like all the other idols did.

I'm glad Elliot is doing his own thing. I haven't heard any of his new stuff, though I wasn't a fan of his on idol. I DO like his version of Moody's Mood for Love.

Did Taylor fall off the face of the earth (like Bo Bice who I loved)? Where's his long anticipated debut album???

This may have been discussed already but my mom (who lives on LI) said Fox 5 up there had an interview with Bailey Brown after she was voted off. She claims that the other two girls told her they were going to bed but then stayed up all night practicing without her and refused to help her! Fox was apparently incensed and sympathetic and invited her to NY to perform on their morning show, live. I liked Bailey a lot...and now I like Antonella even less.

I am behind a couple of pages in reading so this may have already been mentioned on another post, but I did read that Elliot had his teeth fixed. I read a magazine article about it. The dentist that fixed his teeth got to him right after Idol and fixed them for free.

Wasnt it Bailey that asked for heelp in the bathroom and the one girls said when I help you I mess up....thats why in a competition like this you got to look out for #1...She should have never went to sleep it she was unsure of her lyrics...I still blame Bailey for messing up....but it sounds like the other 2 were only for themselves...which is ok...I guess its cut throat

I remember last year when Mandisa (I LOVED her voice...) got booted, kind of like when Jennifer Hudson got booted, and shocked everybody - I still remember the AI contestants faces, especially Taylor's.
Two theories...
I think that voters sometimes might 'vote off' the strongest competitors so 'their' fave has a better chance later on...kind of like Survivor, when a team votes off the more-physical person so folks can maybe have a better chance in the individuals. Or all her supporters just assumed that she would go through to the next round & didn't bother to vote. I'm going to be watching the dialidol.com ongoing results to see if I can help (in a piddling little single-voter way) the Best/deserving/most-talented make it through to the next level.
