I will not be able to stomach Blake singing Roxanne, I mean, Sting is my favorite vocalist of all times and Blake just doesn't have the pipes. Heaven forbid he add beat boxing to it. I will die! Didn't he sing something from the Police earlier in the season? Wait - that was Chris Sly... I think. Whoever it was, it was terrible! I don't get Blake at all. I don't know how he has made it so far in the competition. JMO

theres literally a gazillion songs to chose and the judges pick the same old same old...and they critisize the contestants for song choice????

I agree...Randy usually criticizes the contestants when they pick songs of artists such as Whitney Houston, Celine Dion, etc., and says that they can't sing those songs because they'll always be compared to the artist and will never be as good as that artist, so I find it strange that he picked a Whitney Houston song.

As for Blake-I pray he doesnt sing that god awful Robin Thicke song that Robin Thicke performed on the show a couple weeks ago!!
Jordon-never heard of Wishing on a Star-sounds old.
Melinda-although I dont particulary care for her, I could totally see her doing a Tina Turner song.

actually, yeah....i can see Maroon 5. but i don't think ANY of the judges actually KNOW who they are. they didn't even know who 311 was.

and i agree also....very boring season.

So then that excludes Jordan then also. She has quite an extensive performing at the professional level resume. Including recording an album at 13, going on 2 tours with a Christian Music artist, winning Fox most talented youth contest, singing the National anthem at many stadiums, being in two plays in Tennessee, Etc. But I think singing back-up professionally and recording an album pretty much rules her out as being a nobody.

All that and did you know she is just 17???

Blake singing Roxanne might be good.... He totally needs to redeem himself after last week...

Roxanne..not too bad. I thought he lost it a bit at the end...but again we hear the "you can't sing it like the original" crap. AND if he would have totally imitated Sting he would have been blasted for that.

I had never heard of Jordins song either. I liked it.

and Randy...really.....enough with the name-dropping. we've heard it for like 6 seasons now......it's old.

and this song is one of Whitney's not-so-great songs...IMO. there's so many other Whitney songs that are better than this.
