Pooh's Pixie said:I liked Taylor...he is just a gift to Idol. He has to stay 'cause he lights up the place...you can't not enjoy him, IMO.
I also liked Ace. I didn't think I would like the MJ thing (who wants to be like MJ?!) but he really took up the challenge. He made it his own and didn't try to be too Michael Jackson. He really does have talent.
Overall, the guys were far more entertaining. Too bad we couldn't get rid of more girls and keep more guys!!! (Hey, that sounds like something I would've said in high school!!!)

Well, I am a country fan and not just the new stuff, but from the "olden days" of the 60's and 70's! LOL! AND I definately do NOT want to hear Bucky sing.

It should happen, but won't.There is no way you can believe that she belongs there over Lisa or Paris....Or Ayla for that fact.....She is nowhere near the top 6....Kellie, Lisa, Mandissa, Ayla, Paris, and Katherine
bicker said:And I have one word for you: Gender. The American public seems to be far more willing to embrace a teddy bear like Ruben. Regardless, Ruben overcame the weight issue -- maybe Mandisa can too, but it isn't likely, just like Ruben's victory wasn't likely.

Remember, these are MY opinions, and most of you will disagree with them completely:
Lisa does NOTHING for me. Her voice is ok, but she has no personality and choose the most boring songs that anyone could choose. Not a fan at all.
Same can be said for Katharine. She shows more personality, but I just don't feel she connects with the songs she sings.
As for Ayla, I just can't connect with her. Something about her personality scream's "I'm better than you!" and that bugs me. I also just can't get into any of her songs.
Paris, I'm ok with. I didn't like her second performance, but her other 2 were fun, and I got into them even if Conga wasn't strong Vocally.
But Melissa deserves a spot in the top 12. I love her smokey voice, she has improved week after week, and she has a knack for choosing the right song.
The producers/judges have made it completely obvious they want a final 6 group of girls made up of paris/lisa/mandisa/katharine/ayla/kellie. Thats why Simon was so hard on Kinnik (who deserved it) and Melissa (who IMO was better than everyone but Mandisa and possibly Ayla.
Oh, and thanks for telling me what I should and shouldn't believe. I sure do believe Melissa deserves a spot in the top 12, and I'll stand by that. And hoenstly, I'll think we'll see Melissa safe tomorrow night.

So far I think Chris and Mandisa are the ones to beat.
And singing a Michael Jackson song ought to get you immediately disqualified.
Figment22 said:Lisa Tucker has arguably the best voice of all the girls, but she hasn't chosen a good song yet.I AGREE 100%

I think Will is making a big mistake with his song choice. 12-year old girls aren't going to continue to vote for him if they have never heard of the song. He needs to prove that he can sing today's music - not light and airy favorites of the 60's, 70's and 80's."
Sorry, but my almost 12 yr old DD still voted for Will tonight. She really likes him and his music. I will say though that she LOVES the music of the 60's and 70's. She would listen to the Beatles and Simon & Garfunkel over any current day singers.

Man, I wish Chris would grow his hair back. He was CUTE. I just don't like bald men, too Vin Diesel to me.
