For everyone looking for mp3's they are on rickey.org

But not all songs... I'm looking for moodys mood but that is no longer on his website. I downloaded a bunch today just in case they drop off.

Why would anyone want to ? (You might get some of it on you :scared: )

;)

Seriously...hearing "goat boy" on the radio is only likely to cause a rash of broken fingers across the country, as people jab at the buttons on their radios to just make it STOP.

:teeth:

OMG, will you stop it already?!!! I think Elliott looks just fine...and he has an incredible voice.

Everyting in life is not about looks...

I think the goat part was in reference to his voice (vibrato) and not his looks.

You missed my point. I didn't say anything about the singers singing "their own original songs". What I said was that this week was about singing a song that has an established history and singing a song for which there isn't an established history. There are different skills necessary for each. For a song with an established history, you need to make people either forget the original or you need to exceed the original, to truly do well. For a song without an established history, you actually have to make people like the song, which is very difficult, since many people develop a liking for songs over time, not at first hearing. Seems to me Taylor just wants to sing "golden oldies" -- songs that people already have an firmly established feeling about. I don't know why he did that, but my conclusion is he either didn't feel he could, or didn't feel he needed to, show that he could competently showcase a song that doesn't have a long history.

I disagree. It depends on the audience. In the case of a 13 year old, "Something" is not an established song since they have probably never heard it before or very rarely heard it, but Mary J Blige's song is all over the radio and is established for them.

Could our resident Fox employee fill us in? Did she get bleeped or was it a technical difficulty during the show?

She was bleeped.

It was. The "dapper little bridge troll" comment was about his looks ;)

Just kidding, folks (no pun intended :teeth: )...please extinguish the torches. No, I am not a fan of Elliott's "music", but I'm not close enough to being Brad Pitt to pick on anyone's looks too seriously. :)

:hippie: Peace :hippie:

Hello fellow AI fans, just checking this thread for the first time! Can't wait for the CD to come out, looks like it will be much better than last years! And for the record -- CHRIS fan here!!!! He's awesome and I have liked him from the very first night we saw his audition. But he really won my heart when he did WANTED. (hmmm, wonder why that is?) :thumbsup2

Next week the idols will each sing two Elvis songs. When they had Elvis night on Canadian Idol, it was very cheesy. It should be interesting to see how this bunch does with this theme.

can someone let me know who is staying and all that through PM, we are having bad weather and they keep cutting in on AI!
