Diane...did you survive the first day? My appointment wasn't as bad as some but whatever she had in that "numbing shot" sure did what it was suppose too! Took 6 hours to get back to normal!

First day was I’m exhausted but we survived. Next week should be interesting. New state law no cell phones allowed in school. Today and tomorrow we are warning the students and next week if we see them we have to take them for the day and depending on the number of infractions a parent will have to come pick it up and they are issued a detention. I’m going to be busy.

Same law here in Texas this year. Katie would have a HARD time surviving the day! I'm sure the kids aren't happy at all. I'm not sure if I agree with it or not. I understand it keeps students off their phones during class but what if there's an emergency! And Katie and the Dora's did a lot of "class planning" during the day. I think they should at least be able to use them during lunch and between classes! Have the teacher collect them when they walk in the door and they can pick them back up when class is over. I see "both sides"! First day is always SO tiring; hopefully tomorrow won't be quite as bad.

Mickey and Minnie’s Railway?

Kids couldn’t use them in class but they could use them in the hallway between classes and during lunch. I really don’t agree with the new law. I think they should be able to use them during that time but not in class.
