Seriously...hearing "goat boy" on the radio is only likely to cause a rash of broken fingers across the country, as people jab at the buttons on their radios to just make it STOP.

Everyting in life is not about looks...

What I said was that this week was about singing a song that has an established history and singing a song for which there isn't an established history. There are different skills necessary for each. For a song with an established history, you need to make people either forget the original or you need to exceed the original, to truly do well. For a song without an established history, you actually have to make people like the song, which is very difficult, since many people develop a liking for songs over time, not at first hearing. Seems to me Taylor just wants to sing "golden oldies" -- songs that people already have an firmly established feeling about. I don't know why he did that, but my conclusion is he either didn't feel he could, or didn't feel he needed to, show that he could competently showcase a song that doesn't have a long history.

It was. The "dapper little bridge troll" comment was about his looksdamo said:I think the goat part was in reference to his voice (vibrato) and not his looks.
