Mandisa doesn't have the voice for that song. She didn't start to sound decent until half way thru.

Now that is a great song for Elliot!!! I love Garth!!! He started out sounding really good. He made some good adjustments to the arrangement too.

I agree completely. Simon hates the genre (and honestly, no one is ever really good in the genre), so why do they do it?

Anyway, what did Simon say about the Desperate Housewives...I caught the end of it, but I didn't catch the beginning.

He said that at least he wasn't trying to look like someone from DH. Then he told Ryan to lose the beard. LOL! I think that Ryan started out by picking apart his criticism.

Why did Taylor pick that song. He is such a story teller and he missed a huge opportunity to connect with the audience. Country songs should have so much feeling, something that Taylor used to be good at portraying. He is losing his appeal.

Mandisa... Hmmm. I was distracted by the stripes.

Elliott. I enjoyed that. I've never heard the original, so can't compare but I liked it in its simplicity.

I don't like Paris' version- she is ok now that she can belt out the end of the song but she ruined the beginning of it. That is one of my favorite songs- I don't like her singing it!!!

Paris did a great job tonight! There was one bad note mid way thru but she got back on track.
