Well, if this is true, they should have just postponed it till she was better because I don't think it's fair and Scotty will get all the votes.

Anyone who would have voted for Scotty, will still vote for Scotty but most who are Lauren fans may resent Haley or just prefer country etc...and vote for Scotty. This is GREAT news for Scotty. IMHO

Lauren Alaina is sitting in the makeup chair silently because an "American Idol" doctor has frozen her throat in a last ditch effort to save her voice ... spies on the "Idol" set tell TMZ.

TMZ broke the story ... Lauren lost her voice and could not finish rehearsing for tonight's finale.

Producers have brought Haley Reinhart to the set and she is currently in wardrobe. If Lauren can't compete, Haley will square off against Scotty McCreery for the title.

We're told Haley just finished rehearsing, and if she does compete tonight she'll sing 3 songs -- "House of the Rising Sun," "I Who Have Nothing" and "Bennie and the Jets."

That isn't fair to Lauren. Scotty will automatically win if she isn't in it. They should have people vote based on past performances instead of bringing Haley back. And we all know I am not a fan of either Scotty or Lauren.

I'm not a huge AI fan to begin with, but this would really leave a bad taste for a LOT of watchers. America voted... and they don't want Haley. Thus, Haley should not be allowed to compete in the final. The decision to allow her to compete would be one of the worst they could make.

Then again, I do like Scotty... but I also liked Lauren.

if they allow Haley to replace Lauren, I guess I will have one less show to try and watch tonight. this is really odd, and all I can think is Nigel will promise Lauren that she is the first star of his upcoming county version of the show.


or it's the biggest rumor ever to get all the DWTS folks over to AI

I agree.. they could have put together a fundraising show for the US tornado victims... I liked haley but it would not be right to have her come back and Lauren out....
