American Idol: Season 10 PART III

Well, I don't even think I posted here before this year but my thoughts:

1. Really good season

2. I didn't miss Simon at all

3. Stephen Tyler was a nice add to the show. I thought he might not be.

4. Jennifer Lopez might be the best looking woman in the world.

5. I was NOT surprised by an all country final after reading teh story in USA Today about how the votes come more from the south than any other area.... especially teen girl texters. Apparently this has been true - IIRC - since the Carrie Underwood year.

6. I really thought that Lauren would win.... HOWEVER, based on talent, I felt Pia was far above anybody else.... and smoking hot... But still the talent was there, not just the looks

7. My wife has asked me almost every year to go to see the AI tour. I have always said no, but may go this year.

8. THANK GOD there was no Ellen DeGeneres this year....

Oh, and did I mention how hot Jennifer Lopez is?

9. Loved having Tom Jones on the show tonight.... I wonder if any of the singers actually knew who he was before AI.

10. I could have done without Tony Bennett for sure.

And finally, I know this will NEVER HAPPEN, but I really wish that these kids could sing some songs by The Eagles.

I was not going to watch but I did. In the end I was glad Scotty won. He really seems like a nice kid. I wish him luck.

....sooooo, did I mention how much I hate my DH right now?? I DVR'd all the shows from Tuesday, since everything was on at the same time...my mom and I were ALMOST caught up watching [we were about 40 minutes or so behind the live AI finale] when my DH saunters into the family room, while Scotty was singing with Tim McGraw, and blurts out, "You know he WON, right?".....AAARRRRRGGGGHHHH!!!

...this anti-climactic scene basically sums up MY season of AI...

Wow, we agree on everything except Tony Bennet! Oh, and I'm not going to go on about how hot JLO was, lol! I thought the GAGA performance was lude and inappropriate for American Idol.

I really enjoyed the show last night also. Especially when Lady Gaga came on..... I needed a bathroom break !

I thought it was rather odd. They always have the previous winner perform on the finale show but they did not even acknowledge him at all. I Lee and feel so bad for him. They could have had him perform rather than Beyonce, the second time, or Lady GaGa. Her performance was inappropriate.

Or when they had the little bad singer clip. C'mon, they were more important than acknowledging last year's winner?

That was the sweet finale ever in my opinion!!! I was so happy that Scotty won what a nice kid he is!!!!

We all knew about Casey and Hailey, It looks like Lauren and Scotty were a couple on the DL

If I watched AI, I could have told you the name of the winner once I saw Scott McCreery. My daughter's friends came with us to WDW and one of them won the Golden ticket at The AI Experience. She went to the audition for this season, they told her she was fantastically talented but this year they were looking for a "Justin Bieber" type to be the American Idol.

I'm still smiling after Jacob's song last night! And James was amazing as usual!!! Loved the whole show! Even Gaga - she has Mark dancing with her (he's one of my all time favorites from So You Think You Can Dance), so I loved getting to see him dance again. I even loved the Jack Black/Casey song - Fat Bottom Girls is one of my favorites. What a fun show! (Only had to fast forward a couple of times - Mark A & Spider Man. )

I'm happy that Scotty won (won't be buying his music, but really happy for him). I live close to Garner, so people are very exited around here. It's all they are talking about on the radio.

That poor guy is always living on the edge! Buy him some flannel lined jeans to wear to the parks next summer. He deserves it.

I live close to Garner, so people are very exited around here. It's all they are talking about on the radio.

My DS13 will be at Garner High School next year.

Thought that last night's show was pretty good but it definitely did not have enough Paul. He is still my favorite from this season so I would have liked to have seen more of him.

I expected Scotty to win so no surprise there. Did everyone notice what a huge home town watch party he had last night compared to Lauren's? I wouldn't be surprised if he was the run away vote leader every week this season.

While I like James' voice I did not like his performance last night. It just reinforced why I hate metal music. I could also have done without the Marc Anthony performance and the Beyonce solo.

The group medleys were pretty good. It was good to see everyone back but it just reminded of how much more I liked Paul than any of the others. My daughter just home from college had not seen any of this season and she immediately noticed Paul in a group performance. She couldn't figure out how some of the others outlasted him. Apparently, I raised her right.

And how good was Tim McGraw? Loved the song and he was probably the best looking thing on the stage last night. Tim was very kind to the late minister of my church regarding this song during a long battle with cancer. I have a warm place in my heart for Tim because of this.
