I'm just now watching, James looks like one of the Village People LOL

When he came out on stage my friend turned aroudn and said "he looks like he just came out of a gay mens leather bar". It was one odd outfit!

I went the year Adam Lambert was on the tour. It was really good. They do a great job with it. Everybody gets solos and they mix in a few group numbers, too.

Nigel tweeted this last night: “I was so upset Lee DeWyze wouldn’t present the winners trophy to Scotty. Especially as he’d been on the show this Season. I guess he was shy.”

Lee tweeted this today: "Hey everyone, first off I want to say congrats to Scotty & Lauren, awesome job. Well done Scotty! Secondly, just for the record… I was not asked to be involved in the Finale. It wasn’t until about 2 minutes before they announced that Nigel had approached me and asked if he could “borrow” me for a second. I didn’t feel a last second jump on stage was appropriate. It was Scotty’s moment.I appreciate American Idol, and the opportunity it has given me. And the people who have made that show possible. I am not angry, or bitter etc. It was an amazing Finale, and I would have loved to be a part of it. I just wasnt asked.Good luck to all the Contestants and stay true to yourself. Thanks everyone for your support, tour coming up… Good times I’ll talk to you all soon. Love ya!"

I've gone twice, the year David Cook won and the year Adam Lambert was in it. It was a lot of fun, even the ones I didn't like. I didn't go last year and definitely won't this, they aren't even coming to my city.

Geez louise is right. I can't say I blame Lee at all. I'm betting Nigel asked last minute cause he was hearing negative comments about Lee not being involved. Trying to save face. Sorry Nigel didn't work.

I went to the one with Adam Lambert and loved almost every minute of it. I was not a Megan fan that year and she was just not good.

The first one my sisters and I went to was season 3 with Fantasia and Diana. We've gone pretty much every year since then, except last year and the year David Cook won, and that's only because they didn't come here. Otherwise we would have. We did get to see DC at a county fair though so that sort of made up for it. Best one though was the year Danny Gokey was in it because it was his hometown show here so all the other contestants joked about it being "Mil-Gokey."

Oh, and I don't know if anyone has said this but according to Lauren Alaina's Twitter she and Scotty are not dating.

I was for mostly for James, and while I'm not a country music listener, I wasn't sad to see Scotty win because he seems like such a nice young man who will do excellently in his chosen genre. I wish they'd had him sing more pre 1990's country. I like old-school better. But I don't think singers actually have to be versatile to succeed. Most singers stick with a certain style.
I'm sure diehard Coldplay fans hated this version of the song http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=slHwBfKZPZI . But while the song was more suitable for James and Casey and they are better on it, I was shocked that night that Scotty actually sounded surprisingly good on it . I think he could do certain types of rock (but probably not pop) if he chose to. I just think he was allowed to choose to stick with country by the show. I wish they'd made him stretch a little more like they used to just to make it more interesting, but the judges this season didn't make ANYone stretch.

I think Scotty is at least as versatile as Jacob (who I couldn't stand to listen to ). And Pia for that matter.

As a 16 year old girl I see no appeal to Justin Beiber whatsoever. I dont think he is that talented and he is not attractive in my eyes at all. I cant speak for his personality because I have no idea what it is like at all. IMO Scotty is much more talented and I cant believe that someone like Justin Bieber can just be discovered while Scotty has to go on Idol to be.

I went to the concert the year DC won and hopefully will be going this year. The concert was amazing! Even the people I had not liked during the season were amazing, I can honestly say I loved everyone's performances.

Scotty said in an interview yesterday that Lauren had told him before the show that if he won she was going to kiss him all over.

Besides the Lee snub....how about that contestant that had a fiance who was in a car crash and she got to meet the judges and when he was let go, JLO cried? Why wasn't he part of the finale at all? I can't believe he wasn't even shown in a video footage of contestants etc...weird.

There was a brief shot during one of the montages of the judges hugging his fiance in the wheelchair during the early auditions.

I agree w/ you Happy, I noticed in one of the pictures when they were walking out to the stage dressed in their white outfits, they were holding hands. Not just holding hands but their fingers were intertwined. I only intertwined w/ boyfriends and DH, not with "friends" .
