Perhaps Hershey is not to your taste ...so be it.. however if you are a chocalate lover you must give hershey his due...it was hershey who brought chocolate to the masses. prior to hershey finding a way to make chocolate affordable it, chocolate, was reserved to the upper crust alone. Personally i find some of the imported (to the states) chocolates have kind of a waxy texture. I for one was raised on hershey and still enjoy it. though I admit i never really met a chocolate bar I hated :rotfl2:

If you want to get British food (Cadburys and Heinz Beans ect.) you need to go to the International food court, they carry a lot more things than the supermarkets and a lot cheaper.

Ghiradelli's is nice and we do have Cadbury here. HOwever, Dove is better, by far. You can find it in any super market or drug store/pharmacy.

Germany has great chocolates .......(something) Sport. It's an excellent candy bar.

Enjoy.

Where is the International Food Court?

I take it with me, I've had Cadburys in the US and it does not taste as nice. Also those Nestle Crunch bars are not too bad.

:rotfl: This is funny. When I go to the UK i take my own Hershey bars. i once spent a week in Canada with no Hershey bars(apparently they have the same opinion as you do) Never again! My motto is have Hershey, will travel :moped:

Why is everyone so worried about chocolate? Cant you survive a 2 week holiday without it? My children like chocolate, but 2 weeks without it will do them good. They are allowed 1 packet sweets or 1 bar chocolate a week at home anyway.

Er ... no, we can't! A couple of Cadbury chunks is a great way to forget about the world for 2 mins.

The cadbury's in the US is made under licexe and is NOT the same as cadbury's in the UK, it is very simialr, but not the same.

I hate hersey's, but wouldn't call it filth, it is rather insulting.

If you want nice chocolate over there go to Gharderellis. Also Reeses Peanut butter cups are nice as well.

When we go over I often have orders from US friends for Cadbury chocolate so I package them up and pack them and then post them when I get into thew US.

Hershey is the best. I have tried all the gross expensive stuff from other countries and none of that expensive garbage can touch Hershey.

Hershey rules!!!!

Cadbury fools!!!!

To call it 'filth' is a little strong. It is an acquired taste and personally I didn't want to acquire it. I don't like Hersheys products at all but some of the other american brands are lovely.

Ghiardelli chocolate is wonderful  If you want to try before you buy if you go to the shop at Downtown disney they are usually handing out samples. Their chocolate covered cherrys are great, their caramel squares are yummy - I could go on and on! I like Cadbury's and not Hershey's but I love Ghiardelli!

Wendy I can't go two weeks without chocolate, I will have major withdrawal symptoms  .

Mmmmm I  Hershey's, especially the almond one. I think it's great that my family don't really like it because I get the whole bar to myself :)

And don't even get me started on the peanut butter cups lol esp the white chocolate ones droooooool

Love the Ghiradelli chocolate from DTD....the little squares....don't just stick to the caramel ones, buy a selection!

We did buy a few bars of the Ghiradelli chocolate in another store but it didn't taste as good as the one from the actuall Ghiradelli shop :confused3 maybe it's all in the mind lol

LauraJean - think the chocolate in Germany is called Ritter Sport. My MIL buys it for my children over here - they sell it in LIDL. Very yummy too.

From reading this post I make it sound like I eat loads of chocolate - I can't remember the last time I had any!

I had to laugh at this thread! When we first moved over here DH put on around 10lbs because he ate so much chocolate. He just couldn't get over how good it all is!

fantastic this started as a simple question about a chocolate my kids did not like and ended up with me invading orlando with a mountain of fish& chips and such like :rotfl2: i hope to try lots of great food in orlando but not too much of the chunda variety hopefully.great english no no no's include black pudding  what is that all about, top ingredient pigs blood i think.(whooooo)all you northerners calm down, its just a personal taste thing i suppose, thanks everyone very entertaining and i got my answer i will not need the extra suitcase :woohoo: :lmao:

i cant stand hersheys....its not proper chocolate like cadburys
i do however love Gihardelli :goodvibes

Hershey bars may taste disgusting but at least they won't give you salmonella like Cadbury's.... :stir:

Johnny

The address is: 4300 L B McLeod Rd Orlando, FL 32811 (321) 281-4300. Take the I 4 and take the John Young exit, Mcleod is the first turning on the right, the IFC is on your left, about 5 mins off the I 4.

FYI for all of you "REESE'S" lovers out there the peanut butter is covered with....that's right! HERSHEY'S CHOCOLATE, it is a HERSHEY product and also (I believe) their most successful product.

have just looked back on the replies and one persons name is syko FANTASTIC :lmao: HOW TOPICAL IS THAT
